North American amusement park chain Cedar Fair announced that four of their parks will not be opening this year and another two will be closing at the end of the month due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. Standing 287 feet (87.5m) tall with a top speed of 91 mph (146.5 km/h), the B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) built ride qualifies as a giga coaster due to its 300 foot (91.5m) drop. Read More...Kings Island has announced that Firehawk, the park’s Vekoma flying coaster, will be removed at the end of the 2018 season. Its last days of operation will be during the final weekend of Halloween Haunt, October 26-28.
