Steel Curtain debuts at Kennywood

Steel Curtain, the first amusement park ride to be themed to a NFL team, opened at Kennywood. The custom inverting coaster is the tallest coaster in Pennsylvania at 220 feet (67m), its 9 inversions are the most of any coaster in North America, and it holds the world record for highest inversion at 197 feet (60m). Kennywood announces Steel Curtain

West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, USA

Kennywood announces Steel Curtain, a 197-foot (67m) coaster built by S&S Sansei. Steel Curtain will feature nine inversions and reach a top speed of 75 mph (120 km/h). The coaster is built in a collaboration with Pittsburgh Steelers, and will be the centerpiece of a new park area dedicated to the NFL team.
