Last rides on Tower Of Terror II

Coomera, Queensland, Australia

Dreamworld confirmed the long rumored upcoming closure of Tower of Terror II, the continent’s tallest and fastest coaster. Built on one side of the 390 feet (119m) tall Giant Drop tower, the coaster opened in 1997. Final rides will take place on November 3rd, but the Giant Drop will continue to operate as normal. Four killed at Dreamworld

Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

Four people, one woman and four men aged 32-42 years old, were killed at Dreamworld when a river rapids raft flipped over on the loading platform. When an empty raft got stuck in the station, a conveyor belt malfunction forced the returning raft onto the one ahead and tipping it over. The park will close for several days to allow for an investigation to take place.
