Ypres/Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
Bellewaerde announced Dawson Duel, Europe’s first dueling Alpine coaster, as the park’s new-for-2017 attraction. Named after Canada’s Dawson City, the halfway mark for the Yukon Quest, the ride is themed around the world’s toughest dog sled race.
Built on a man-made hillside, the attraction will consist of two parallel tracks which allow riders to duel with each other during an exciting race to the finish at ground level. Before they start their decent, park guests can enjoy the scenic walk up a unique bridge to reach the top of a 82 foot (25m) tall tower between the tree tops. Click the headline for more information
