Wizarding World Coaster revealed

After almost two years of construction, Islands of Adventure finally reveals the new attraction coming to its Wizarding World section: Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. This heavily themed coaster will open on June 13, 2019. It replaces Dragon Challenge (formerly Duelling Dragons), which was demolished in 2017. Click the headline for more information


Linnanmäki announces Taiga launch coaster

Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland

Linnänmaki Amusement Park announces the debut of Taiga, the biggest coaster in Finland, for 2019. This coaster from Intamin AG will feature two launches and four inversions across more than a kilometer of track, and reach speeds of 66 mph (104 km/h) and heights of over 170 feet (52 m). It replaces Vonkaputous, a Premier water coaster which was removed in 2017. Click the headline for more information


Robin Hood to receive RMC conversion

Biddinghuizen, Flevoland, the Netherlands

The Robin Hood wooden coaster at Walibi Holland will be closed until 2019, and redesigned by Rocky Mountain Construction. Robin Hood was built by Vekoma in 2000, when Six Flags operated the park. RMC has performed several rebuilds of wooden coasters in the past. Robin Hood is slated to be the company’s first conversion project outside North America, although they built a coaster from the ground up in Sweden in 2016. Click the headline for more information


Ducati World racing to Mirabilandia

Parques Reunidos and Ducati, one of the most iconic motorcycle manufacturers in the world, have signed an agreement to develop Ducati World at Mirabilandia. From 2019, visitors will be able to enjoy this exclusive and innovative Ducati experience in an area occupying approximately 35,000 m2 filled with rides, shops and shows.
