Despite holding a Live in Poland in 2018 we simply cannot contemplate not holding another one in 2020, with both parks offering some of the best roller coasters in Europe. The parks are also near Krakow, famously known as one of the best city breaks in Europe which can be easily tagged onto the weekend to offer a balance between culture and creds.
The weekend begins at Energylandia, known as Poland’s biggest park, it needs little introduction. Since its opening in 2014 (yes, 2014!), the park has a reputation as one of Europe’s best due to an astonishing investment track record. Approaching its 6th year of operation, the park has collected 15 coasters and plans to open another 2 in 2020. Included in the world’s hottest line up is Hyperion, an Intamin hyper coaster, Formula, a Vekoma launch coaster, and Zadra, RMC’s first ground up I-Box coaster – a splendid trio unparalleled anywhere. 2020 also sees Abyssus’ introduction, a Vekoma Shockwave which features 2 launches, a vertical loop and other inversions throughout its 4300ft length! If the coasters weren’t enough to draw you to the park, we will also be visiting during the famed Halloween Time event which sees the park undergo a complete transformation for the spooky season.
Legendia, the second park of the trip, is a charming lakeside park located on the in Katowice. The park is currently undergoing a transformation into a fully-fledged theme park and is seeing the development of several substantial new rides. Home to Bazyliszek, an immersive Alterface trackless dark ride, the park hosts one of the most intense collections of flat rides on the planet. Lech Coaster, a firm favorite within the CoasterForce community, offers one of the most intense rides on the continent, featuring snappy inversions, sustained ejector airtime, insane scenery interaction and a unique theme and soundtrack. The park is also in the process of constructing a brand-new river rapid ride for 2020 – although we may wait to see how warm it is before braving that one!
This trip promises to be non-stop fun and with the wonderful Polish affordability, it’s sure not to break the bank!
