Paultons Park will be providing free virtual queuing features via a mobile app as it opens its doors on Saturday 4 July. All of the park’s rides and nearly all of its attractions, including Peppa Pig World, Critter Creek and Lost Kingdom, will be open for guests to enjoy.
The free-to-download Paultons Park mobile app will support the management of social distancing measures across the park, allowing for virtual queuing for the most popular rides. Guests will be automatically notified when they can board the ride, freeing them from standing in queues in close proximity to other guests.
James Mancey, Operations Director at Paultons Park said, “We are proud to be one of the first UK theme parks to be offering free virtual queuing in our mobile app. We recognised that this technology would play a crucial role in our reopening strategy and accelerated our plans to bring this feature to fruition as a result of COVID-19.
“Our teams have worked hard to develop a plan for reopening that refuses to compromise on the quality of our guests’ experience, while ensuring safety remains a priority. We are confident that the app will greatly support this ambition.”
Alongside the virtual queuing, Paultons Park has implemented a series of robust measures to manage the guest experience:
- Daily guest numbers will initially be strictly limited, with all visits pre-booked online.
- New seating plans for rides and attractions are also in place, ensuring there are gaps between seats and rows to allow social distancing.
- Indoor play areas, Water Kingdom, Muddy Puddles and the 4D Show Street Cinema will be closed until further notice, in line with government guidance.
- Virtual food ordering from selected outlets on the park will also be made available in due course this summer through the mobile app.
Paultons Park will open to the public at 10am on Saturday 4 July. Guests can find out more information and book tickets on the Paultons Park website. The app can be downloaded from the Google and iTunes app stores.
The park was scheduled to open a new Americana theme area, Tornado Springs, in Spring 2020 but, due to the Coronavirus halting construction, the area will now open in Spring 2021.
