December 6, 2016 – After opening the 1.5 million square foot (139,355m²) IMG Worlds of Adventures as the world’s biggest indoor theme park in August, the company on Monday revealed plans for its second theme park. IMG Worlds of Legends will be one-third bigger at 2 million square feet (185,806m²) and be built next to the current park.
The huge new park is scheduled to open in 2020 and will feature a retractable roof in order to be open year round. With nine unique zones, attractions will include characters from global brands like Nickelodeon (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants), Ubisoft (Assassin’s Creed, Raving Rabbids, Just Dance), Mattel (Barbie, Hot Wheels, Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends, Mega Bloks), The Animé Zone (Dragon Ball Z, Naruto), Pokémon, Cartoon Network, as well as IMG IPs Legends of Arabia and Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure.
