What's new

What is your top coaster on your bucket list?

Current front runner is Fury 325, that's an itch I've been dying to scratch for a number of years now.
Skyrush and Lightning Rod have been vying for second place for ages too, although that was based on Lightning Rod v1.0. I suspect that Lightning Rod v3.5, or whatever it will be by the time I get on it, won't have quite the same effect.
The most recent additions to this list are the Joe Draves designed RMC's, namely Wildcat's Revenge and ArieForce One.
Spites notwithstanding, I should be picking up all of the above in just over 3 months time! 😮
When it comes to unrealistic bucket list coasters though, ie coasters that I'm never actually likely to ride, there's plenty over in Asia and the Middle East. Eejanaika/Dinoconda, Steel Dragon 2000, Do-Dodonpa, Hakugei, Formula Rossa and Falcon's Flight to name a few.

It's either El Toro or I305 at the moment. With what I've heard about the two of them they could easily end up being my #1. I'll probably add Falcon's Flight when it opens for its scale alone.

Here's a top 10, starting from 10.

10. Lightning Rod, Dollywood - Once the world's only launched woodie, then launched hybrid, this has been on my bucket list for a while. I hear people rave about it all the time, so I'm keen to go there.
9. Ride To Happiness, Plopsaland De Panne - I hear nothing but good things about this Mack Xtreme Spinner. A launched, inverting, spinning coaster? I'll take your entire stock, and make my way over to Belgium for this beast.
8. Falcon's Flight, Six Flags Qiddiya City - You know this by now, a triple-record-breaking ride; height, speed, length. Of course, coaster enthusiasts will want to ride this thing.
7. Hyperion, Energylandia - One of Europe's tallest rides, and the tallest coaster to feature an inversion, it looks like a beast. And it should be, cause it's an Intamin. They're automatically out of control.
6. F.L.Y, Phantasialand - Unironically, a true FLYing beast. The only one of its kind, with a hotel right by it. All the near-misses and graceful-looking elements look amazing, and they should be (somewhat) forceful.
5. Fury 325, Carowinds - Simply because it's been crowned "Best Steel Coaster" by the GoTiAw makes me think "Hmmm. They say it's good. Let's give it a shot." All I can say is that it looks incredible.
4. The Smiler, Alton Towers - Most inversions on a roller coaster? One of the most intense rides on Earth? 85 kph? I'll take it! It looks insane and I'd be lying if I didn't put it here.
3. Banshee, Kings Island - Looks like a graceful but whippy invert. It's the longest invert in the world so it should be enjoyable, especially with those vest restraints. After riding Raptor, I have high expectations.
2. VelociCoaster, Universal's Islands Of Adventure - People talk about this in droves. Excellent airtime, whippy inversions, speed, and height with impressive theming. If I do manage to somehow get to Orlando, I'll have to try this baby.
1. Voltron Nevera, Europa-Park - Ever since a few years back, I have been obsessed with wanting to go to Germany. I now have another reason to go; Voltron Nevera. 101-degree upwards launch, intense inversions, whippy transitions, and great theming? It sounds like the perfect ride.

#1 Kingda Ka - watching videos of this thing for hours on end 10-15 years ago made me fall in love with coasters. I know it's just a launch, it has become uncomfortable, etc.. but damn do I just wanna hop on a plane and get on that thing
#2 I305 - just for the fact it had to be modified because it was too intense. Also it rejoins #1 as I watched a lot of youtube videos on this one as well.
#3 Falcon's flight - you know why

What's I305? ;)

Shivering Timbers. Been wanting to get on it for about 20 years now thanks to the discovery channel.

So glad I'm finally getting on it this year!

Ohhh Bucket List... Let me see... Mostly in the USA since I'm still the cliche Brit, who's only ever visited Florida... 🙈 😂

1) SteVe
2) Hakugei
3) Lightning Rod
4) Skyrush
5) Fury 325
6) El Torro
7) Formula Rossa
8) Top Thrill 2
9) Project 305
10) The Beast

It's amusing to see how the Americans here have done most of the European member's bucket list coasters, and us Europeans have done most of the American's bucket lists... I mean, it makes sense, and should have been obvious... But it's still amusing.

Right now I can only talk about coasters in Europe.
Those will be in no particular order:
* Kondaa
* Happiness
* Toutatis
* Monster (Walygator Grand Est)
* Kärnan
* Flucht von Novgorod
*Hyperia
* Voltron
* Smiler
* Scenic Railway (Dreamland)
* Hullámvasút (Hopefully it will reopen soon)
* Uncharted
* Hyper Coaster (Land of legends)
