What happened to Sea Viper?

So, one upon a time, there was an Arrow Loop and Corkscrew at Sea World in Queensland named Sea Viper. Long story short, the coaster closed for maintenance in Early 2014 and never reopened. Today I ask: Why was Sea Viper removed?

I quite like that park but had no idea that had been there, so I've done some googling.
I think the crux of it was that after over 30 years, it had started to show its age and was costing money in maintenance as well as perhaps not entirely fitting the park's focus which is more towards families. Reportedly, although it had originally had iconic status as one of the first big coasters in Oz, it wasn't pulling in the crowds so well by the end.
I've nicked these facts from http://seaworld-goldcoast-australia.wikia.com/wiki/Sea_Viper https://www.parkz.com.au/article/2014/07/17/333-Sea_Worlds_Sea_Viper_closes_after_32_years.html
