WESTON-SUPER-MARE is gearing up for what is expected to be one of its busiest weekends of the year as its Grand Pier reopens for business.
Thousands of extra visitors are expected to flock to the resort to visit the pier when it opens for the first time after a £39 million rebuild at 10am today.
Large queues are expected to form outside the attraction as eager visitors wait in anticipation to experience what its owners Kerry and Michelle Michael say is "the best pier in the world".
Some people were even preparing to arrive in the early hours or camp out overnight to ensure they would be one of the first people on the seafront attraction.
