US Election; what are your thoughts?

Abortion is murder. Any way you look at it. I couldn't sleep if I voted for a president that is pro-choice. I'm sorry if you disagree, but my heart tells me those "fetuses" are humans that deserve a chance to live. Only 1% of aborted pregnancies are from r*pe. I'm prepared to be cancelled, labeled and insulted. But I don't care anymore. The truth needs to be said.

Well... that statement just completely does not add up. Stop acting like woman f*ck around and then just go for abortion because it's possible. Doing an abortion is an incredibly tough decision to make and a decision of which no man will ever understand in terms of how hard it would be to make a decision like that. A decision mostly made because not doing so will lead to a difficult future for woman and kid. Abortion is only possible under strict circumstances and before a certain timeframe of pregnancy, and within these circumstances there's almost no difference between choosing not to get a kid or to remove it before it's grown and has any consciousness.

So no, you don't have a clue what exactly you are talking about.

Generalising a little but... do people in the US just refuse to be smart? Like, what's not clicking with them. Only in the US would it be a close race between an educated woman and a felon.

It is definitely surprising that someone like him, not holding back on people invading the capitol and already speaks doubt about the democratic system before elections are done, is able to get so many votes. But even in media the US is insanely divided. I've never heard anyone come up with good reasoning to vote for the man, fact checking is not a common hobby for the fanatic Trump supporter, but if you live in a certain bubble...

while I'm unsure what kamalas polices will be outside of letting Mexicans through the boarder (yes I'm for that), I know trumps polices, trumps polices (called "project 2025") will remove basically every human right that doesn't benifit your straight white rich male. women will basically be reduced to mear objects or toys AGAIN. LGBTQ+ people will likely be a thing of the past in america, African American & other ethnic groups rights will be reduced to that of the 1700's, & all education will be biased & tarnished, not teaching us world events such as ww2, or trail of tears. none of these are good.

we all know who won, time to worry.

Hello, your neighborhood friendly moderator here. Tens of millions of votes were cast on either side of this election (the tightest in U.S. history at that), and likewise we have political opinion on either side in the CF community.

Recognize, as votes are still counted - emotions are going to be raw and real (some super stoked, others with much bewilderment). Let's continue the convo, but not target each other/stoke emotional fires that cause lash out. We all have each others backs, even in civic discussion.
