So... Are Universal / Intamin the new Energylandia / Vekoma?

Will that be 3 Intamin multi launch coasters across the main Universal site? Probably a good thing it's Mack at UEU...

Not complaining though, looks amazing...

This is in Universal Studios Hollywood, in California. The stuff going on in Florida doesn’t really make any odds to the Californian resort, and this is the first Intamin coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood (and the first non-outdoor kiddie coaster full stop, for that matter!).

Cheers Matt, didn’t realise that. 👍 Dunno why I missed it completely, it’s in the title and everything. 🙈😂

Still, Universal definitely seem to be in love with Intamin multi launch coasters at the moment.

... If this indeed gets spinning cars, it might be even more insane than RtH at Plopsaland. 😍

It won't have spinning cars, but rather cars that rotate up to 360° at certain parts of the layout to reduce noise for nearby residents. According to the NBCUniversal Community website, being able to rotate the cars "provides the ability to turn and program vehicles away from the community at key scream moments."

That's only part of the noise reduction efforts, as the park plans to install a sound wall (similar to Incredicoaster), slated to be longer than two football fields and have half-pipe-style covers over many portions of the track. The entire track will also be filled with pea gravel to minimize ride vehicle sound and the report also shared that the ride will be able to hold up to 32 people at once since two trains, capable of holding 16 people each, will be moving throughout the track simultaneously.

The park will also restrict the ride's construction to specific hours on weekdays from 7am to 7pm and from 8am to 6pm on Saturday/Sunday. However, attraction hours are expected to coincide with theme park hours when the coaster opens.

I've zoomed in on two of the posted renderings that show the sound covers.
