My boyfriend and I went to Drievliet last weekend, because he needed the creds and I love the park.
It is a small park, but has a lot of quality-rides like a fairly good launchcoaster, two decent familycoasters, an awesome spinning credit, and a really good afterburner. Every ride is themed very well, quite an effort for a small park like this. The attendance was so low, even Formule X didn't get full cars.
It is fun, especially the last turn and the airtime hill. Not worldbreaking, but for a park of this size probably the best available.
I love how the theming in Drievliet makes you laugh.
I remember being so scared on one of these rides in Bobbejaanland I almost cried about ten years ago. Still liked it. The one in Drievliet looks amazing.
A few new rides were added since my last visit. They also announced a (probably small) freefalltower and a indoor hall with a coaster.
The crappy ghost castle.
Dynamite Express might be my favorite powered coaster. It is short, but very smooth. the first thing after the station is a small drop with some airtime in the front.
The Maurer Mouse was okay, not as good as Prater's but far better compared to Hansa's or the one in Holiday Park.
The final coaster is this weird spinning contraption. It is awesome.
Drievliet is a small butt nice park. Entrance is 21.50 euro, what is very cheap compared to other amusement parks in the Netherlands. I also got a reduction of 40% with my Plopsa annual pass.
Since the park was nearly empty we finished it in just over 3 hours and decided to grab the newest Dutch Fair credit in Rotterdam, on our way back to Belgium.
It was crap. I got the "inside" credit before it got converted tot the Wild Mouse XXL, but apparently the big and small one count as 2 different credits. I don't complain. But the ride itself is really disgusting. On the straight sections you get boosted so the car can complete the circuit without a rollback, but you get boosted right before a wild-mouse turn. Auwtch. Never again. Unless it gets an extra turn and turns into a new cred or something like that.
With this ride done, I'm only missing one travelling coaster in the Netherlands, and 4 coasters in total. For some reason I've been to the middle of nowhere to visit Sybrandy's already never to Julianatoren. Something to look forward to actually.
We also rode the crapy spinning Big Apple of which I didn't bother to take pictures off. We got back on the train and arrived in Antwerp around 17u. We made a quick stop at the zoo (we have annual passes because the zoo is freaking awesome), making this day our most overly filled one of this month. Thanks for reading.
Also rip English, sorry about that. I receive complaints in my PM-inbox. I can take criticism and I'm willing to learn.
