Last month I visited the Foire in Béthune, a small town in France not far from Lille and the Belgian border. From Antwerp to Béthune and back took me 7 hours and 30 euro's.
I arrived far to early, so decided to look around the town and find all the rides. The foire is located on several squares, and it took me almost an hour to find all the rides. The 'biggest' coaster was the hardest to find.
The biggest reason to make this trip was Bad Trip, a spinning wild mouse from the same manufacturer as Crash Test on the Dutch fair circuit. The Dutch one was awful, one of the most painfull coasters on my list, with many painfull stops and turns. Normally I enjoy these kind of rides, but Crash Test was a really bad ride. This one was more like the original Reverchons, not really painfull and the car spinned very good.
The Second coaster, a Dragon style Zamperla. This was only my second dragon coaster after one at Hasselt fair, and this one was faster and less painfull. The operator gave me about 15 laps, what was very shamefull since I was alone in the train.
Béthune is a Nice looking small town, but the people are (as all French people in and above Paris) very rude, with a few excepsions. What will always stay with me from that day: the public toilets:
You pay for them, dirty, wet floor, no toilet Paper, and your ass gets caught on camera:
Thanks for reading, here is a onride I made from Dragon:
