Not changing just yet, but have to say my ride on OzIris at the weekend left me feeling a little dry. Not going to do anything drastic just yet by booting it out, but suffice to say I know what's getting replaced should another awesome Top 10-worthy coaster come along. Shame.

@Lofty I could do with a laugh mate, fancy explaining number 4?
I just really enjoyed it, massively so. It was just kinda really mincey and the first drop is fab - I had extremely low expectations of it and ended up loving it.

It also ended up at 4 due to the order of elimination of 'which would I rather ride', type thing :)

Hello all! I'm new here but have been lurking around these forums for many years, finally decided it was time to make an account so I can give my input to the community. ^ Great to meet you! Interesting top coasters list. I'm a bit baffled why Shivering Timbers and Lightning Racers are so high, but glad you have your opinions

The first drop is amazing, still one of my fave's and the speed is fantastic, but a lot of people hyped it up and became a let down, glad to see you went in with the opposite view, love it when something beats expectations!
Don't agree with you in the slightest that it's worthy of a top 5 or 10 spot though, lacks too much stuff for me, but still a great ride.

Unlike a lot of enthusiasts, I actually like floater air way over ejector air because it's purely just fun and relaxing, so I tend to rank the less intense coasters higher because I enjoy them more, but I still love some good ejector air :D

Wow, impressive to see Mine Blower up that high! Excellent news.

It reminded me of a mini Voyage in the back seat. Brutal and relentless. I knew it had to be high though when I got what felt like strong ejector on that first inversion. I preferred it to Twisted Colossus's stall actually. I'll go more in depth in my PTR though!

I look forward to it! It seems to have been pretty well received, which is fantastic news for such a small coaster.

Looks like I forgot to post my Top Coasters list! Heading to Indiana Beach in about 3 weeks, so I might update it for Cornball Express, but here it is now.

Bold what I've ridden new in 2017
Italics what have changed

  1. Voyage
  2. Lightning Rod
  3. X2
  4. Maverick
  5. Twisted Colossus
  6. Storm Chaser
  7. Goliath (Six Flags Great America)
  8. Magnum XL-200
  9. Tatsu
  10. Millennium Force
  11. Diamondback
  12. Goliath (Six Flags Over Georgia)
  13. Thunderhead
  14. Banshee
  15. Mystery Mine
  16. Legend
  17. Incredible Hulk
  18. Viper (Six Flags Great America)
  19. Thunderbird
  20. Tennessee Tornado

Well... this may take a while, but I'm heading down the list.

The big ones are the three which have dethroned. Voyage is just such a batsh*t crazy woodie that has everything you would want in a good ride, and I haven't ridden a ride nearly as varied. Lightning Rod, which is the popular opinion for #1 here, is just barely beaten by Voyage. As soon as I hit the launch on Lightning Rod, I knew I would be changed forever. Words cannot put into everything that is good about the experience. The airtime, forces, layout, terrain interaction, the only nitpick I have (besides breaking down) is that it is a bit short, but still, such a beyond amazing ride. Just not as varied as Voyage. And X2, while not nearly as varied as these rides plus Maverick, is still just so insane. The first drop is insane, the intensity is just beyond words, and it might have been that I rode Green Cancer: Cursed Sh*te the same day, but I feel it was just more... "limit pushing" than Maverick

Twisted Colossus and Storm Chaser are basically tied. I only have Twisted Colossus higher because it was my 100th credit, so I feel a bit more sentimental towards it, but I gotta say, Storm Chaser had stronger airtime, and was more intense. Both were absolutely fantastic, however.

Tatsu was another big surprise. Pretzel loop was the most intense inversion, so that was a basic given, and overall it's just a super impressive ride. I didn't have any complaints for the ride, and I'm glad it is a good reminder to not ride Superman when I go to my home park (Great America).

Thunderhead was loads of fun, and after 3 GCIs this year, it's by far my favorite. Best pacing, most airtime, and awesome location in the mountains. I see why it gets such high reputation.

Mystery Mine was a BIG surprise. My first few rides were Top 10 worthy, with excellent drops, an excellent inversion combo, excellent theming, etc. Then I rode it a couple more times, and as weird as it sounds, I kinda wish I hadn't, because I got more used to the ride. It wasn't as intense, because I totally knew what was coming.

Legend is definitely one of the best CCIs out there. I just loved it when I visited the park. The drop was awesome, it made me realize how much I like laterals, it's long, interacts with the log flume, little airtime pops, and the double helix reminiscent of Beast.

I've been riding Viper for years, but I finally rode it in the back row. All I'll say is, damn. Why have I not ridden it there in the past? It has the best ejector are in the park, especially with the great restraints.

Thunderbird and Tennessee Tornado are what I consider two of the best "short but sweet" coasters out there (that also goes for Goliath, I'm just not mentioning it because I've been riding it a LOT since it opened in 2014). They have such fun, intense experiences and always made me come off with a smile, despite being short.

Nice try, putting Voyage above Lightning Rod. I feel like people who say that sort of nonsense have forgotten about the quad-down. The quad-****ing-down.

Don't get me wrong, Voyage is a fantastic roller coaster. But the quad-down. My life is about the quad-down.

Sorry about that. I'm one of the biggest Voyage fans out there though, I just love the Voyage.

I think that was towards me. But I'm just as big of a fan of Voyage (I think)

And to Hixee, that's basically the main reason why it's just slightly below Voyage
