There’s a point at which a ride can be so bombastic in what it achieves then there isn’t really any need for it to have a well rounded layout:

- Stealth is absurdly short (in duration and height compared to its bigger brothers) yet punchy enough to stand on its own feet.

- Millennium Force doesn’t have a focus on airtime or intense manoeuvres beyond speed, but the height and speed make it a spectacle in its own right.

Falcon’s Flight is big and fast enough to be more ‘Millennium Force’ than ‘The Big One’.

I'm very excited for this park and not just because I'm going to be living about 30 minutes away from this park when it opens.

Beyond Falcon's Flight, which despite potential layout blandness is likely to be pretty incredible, you've got the GCI, the launched Intamin with the spike, the biggest Vekoma tilt coaster they've ever built (biggest Vekoma in general), and a huge amount of other rides and attractions. Ride uptime is going to be my primary concern, I think, but I'm excited to be in a position to (hopefully) visit many times to avoid any closures and report back to the community at large.

Enthusiasts who find MF to be a boring, forceless, meandering mine train on steroids will probably not be terribly enthralled with FF.

Another update out of KSA for Six Flags Saudi: it will have the world's tallest drop tower. Looks like it's going to be an S&S tower-- I would assume a turbo drop-- at a staggering 475' tall. That's going to beat the record, but I pretty good margin. Judging by the size of the tower, this is going to have a huge capacity, especially if it's using the ring of seats that S&S has moved to recently.

Excited to ride it.

Very impressive. This is one of those things I never really expected to see. The project always seemed too ambitious and I've seen funding for things like this dry up so many times. But to actually see the hill completed is incredible. They've got a long way to go, but this is a big step.

Plus, whilst Falcons Flight features some launch mechanisms, Spitfire is an out and out launch coaster. Sure, it's not as tall or fast, and it looks like a kids ride next to FF, but those launches offer a differing experience on park.

Personally I wouldn’t say it’s a long way when there’s only the drop (off the cliff) and a few pieces up there left. Most of the layout is completed and at this point, I’d say it’s about 95% finished.

Yes, but you're looking at the track only. There's quite a lot to go once the track is complete.

which isn’t much compared to the track since it’s the track that takes the most time.

And the park itself is also mostly done since they were 59% finished long ago

You'd think so, but you have bolt torque, grouting, stator alignment, final install of all electrical including I/O checks, pull through, and more. All of this will still take quite some track. Once track completion is done that's a very big step, but it's by no means home free. Lots still to do.
