That ride time alone makes this a great addition IMO.

Pretty much 1 minute of constant ride time, glad to see it's Intamin.

Is someone able to explain the, what appears to be, temporary c-section around around the base of the supports?

These hold the support in place while they are assembling the structure and then concrete is poured to permanently secure them.

Once the concrete has set, these temporary steels get removed.

This method of construction allows for lower tolerances in the groundwork stage.
