Six Flags Mexico | Vekoma Family Boomerang | 2026

A few days ago, a Mexican TV channel broadcasted live from Six Flags Mexico, and I took some screenshots.

More tracks and supports have arrived at the park and are being stored in the Gothic Parking Lot next to Superman’s main drop.

Six Flags Mexico has not made an official announcement; however, they have confirmed through the park’s social media that Six Flags Mexico will have a new “unique” roller coaster for its 25th anniversary.

They will relocate the coaster to another area of the park so that it will not be necessary to cut down trees, complying with Mexico City’s environmental regulations to obtain the necessary permits to begin the construction.

We hope the coaster can open next year 🙏

Copied and pasted between multiple threads -

Okay look, I don't really know what to do about these threads. It's a right ol' mess. I don't really want to merge them all into one super thread, as I think that'll be vile, but I also don't really want to leave these open for now. As far as I understand it, the Energylandia cred was headed for SF Mexico, but it's since been moved on to Cedar Point (and officially announced as Siren's Curse) - so for now the CP thread will be the only one remaining open. If there are any significant developments for the specific coasters that are the subject of this thread, then I will happily reopen - please PM me.

What does a "family thrill boomerang coaster" look like in practice?

Boomerang is donzo after this weekend. Not often we see one of these removed;

If I had to guess, they need a good plot of land for a new stock boomerang model that doesn't involve removing trees. Not sure why this is going so early if for a 2026 coaster but eh.
Nah false alarm it’s getting Batgirled. And not like the movie heh heh…

The park has submitted plans for their new Rebound Famerang on the giant empty concrete plaza by Crazanity, built in such a way that not a single tree needs to be harmed... yayyyy.

Also word is that they've received and are storing Cedar Point's giant playground that used to be in the former Forbidden Frontier area, so yayyyyy what an exchange. (Monotone Voice) Legacy Cedar Fair is treating that park so well.

In all seriousness though they just identified Mexico City as the largest Metro population the collective chain is now serving, the park sees large demand and corporate is happy to invest, but there's only so much that can be done when the current local government is reluctant to allow new attractions at the best of times.
