I can't be bothered to do a massive report.
Me and 3 friends went to Alton Towers on Sunday this was my first time at a Halloween event so I was looking forward to it. Got to the park at 11 and left at 9. It was fairly busy the biggest queue I saw was on TOTT which was 55mins. By 7 queue times were almost walk on. Oblivion in the dark with the fog on was truely epic. I think oblivion was having some problems during the day. Maze opinions and pictures. at the end.

Ride Count
RMT
Air x3 (2 Night rides 1x front)
Nemesis x2 (1 Night Ride)
Ripsaw
The Flume

Rita (Night ride)
CATCF

*Maze SPOILERS*

Mazes:

FOTTS:
I was really looking forward to this. My friends wern't to keen so we booked tickets for the 5pm slot so it wasn't dark. It was ok. Would of been much better in the dark. Sammie just annoyed me and once on the bus you could see Zombies outside waiting for there time. It was a little bit jumpy and the acting was extremely good. Just the light ruined it.
7/10
I didn't do BoilerHouse because my group didn't like tight spaces so I 'Forgot' to mention them in TOTT.

TOTT:
We brought fast track for this. Which in my opinion was worth more than the £6 for FOTTS. This maze was truely amazing. I was the first person and I much say I was **** it. Very atmospheric and themed extremely well. Scares round every corner and it gets more intense deeper and deeper into it. Lasted a good 15-20mins. The monks and the cage section have to be the stand out moment and the final air cannon took me by surprise. This was my highlight moment from the day.

Seems like you had a good day and not that busy compared to what it will be like in half term. I have heard about so many people who went there yesterday.

How did it compare to last year, if you went for the last one?

Read.

Hooray for hearing about a Halloween event which ISN'T Fright Nights. I would really REALLY like to go to Scarefest to see how it compares. I've heard brilliant reviews about TOTT and I agree Field of Screams does look a bit **** in daylight.

Oblivion at night sounds awesome too! :D

Great PTR.

This was my first one. But it was a great day. The SW6 monks by Rita were a nice addition but they showed how much this new ride will stand out. I was surprised to see them still on site doing some work at around 6:30.

Shame you didn't get to do Field of 1000 Screams (such a long name) at night as from what I heard it was amazing. That bus scene at the end sounds insane if it was pitch black and the actors were on full form. TOTT is apparently the longest and best it's ever been this year with you going through the course in reverse which sounds weird as that tunnel by X-Sector makes quite a creepy place to queue.
Sounds like you had a nice time though. :)

Yeah the bus section was pretty intense. Having 12 people cram out the back door and the zombies came with inches, Also I was surprised by how many people tried to walk into TOTT's exit. A bunch of people walked right past a worker and right into the maze. After that a man with two children they couldn't of been older than 10 tried to go in.

Ooops, sorry, I got rid of my original question because I went back and found the answer. My bad.

Anyway, excelent report, and excelent news regarding Scarefest, sounds really good this year.

Maybe I'll do a maze this year, didn't bother last year but they seem excelent.

As in the film? NOOOO!!!

One thing that was good about last year was how loud the Nemesis music was and the Oblivion music when they had all the speakers in sync.

Duel was using the quiet bits of Nemesis' music last year.

But why would they use Twilight music when they have their own excelent music?

Because Scarefest is sponsored by the Twilight sound track.
This is the song I heard queueing for Nemesis:

The Twilight soundtrack is actually better than anticipated as it includes Muse, good times.

There were loads of CFers at Alton yesterday, I'm going to write a PTR, but in a separate topic. Sounds like you had a good day!

So they replaced the best two pieces of theme music with that emo ****? Atleast Muse is in it. Them I like.

Actually Kimi, stabbing yourself would be giving the music what it wants.

The best part of Scarefest was how everything was cranked up to 11, and Nemesis' music up to atleast 13, even the gun was playing it. Shame this year I'ts ruined. Why are Twilight sponsoring it anyway? The film is out of fashion now. Or is it coming out on DVD soon?

Oh and Killers are apparently in it. I am slightly less angry and no longer want to burn the houses of the people who decided to do this
