Word in from IAAPA is that Fun Spot Ameirca (Orlando I-Drive location) announced the park will be adding their very own Chance Hyper GT-X model (Lightning Run at Kentucky Kingdom) you know, one of these - https://www.chancerides.com/coasters/hyper_gtx.html - It was 'announced' during the private lunch event sponsored by the park yesterday.

Nothing official yet so I labeled the topic as "rumor" but hopefully in the next day or so as the trade-show floor opens we can get some sort of official announcement or just kill this topic for nothing more than hopes and dreams... Although as a local, this news is pretty exciting.

That would be a wonderful addition to that park. I hope this is true!

Just came in my pants! I know they wanted to continue to expand that location, but thought a water park was in the works. This would be 1,000 times better for my count.

For a small park they are thinking big! I like it, it's nice to see a park expand and grow, if this is true it will make 2 great compact coasters in such a small space!

And from today's update on ScreamScape....

(11/26/14) While I’m not sure which one of the Fun Spot parks is getting this, it seems one of our readers caught wind of a low-profile announcement that came out at IAAPA saying that Fun Spot was adding the Gatorland Express… a new coaster that appeared very much to be another Chance Hyper GT-X style coaster like Lightning Run at Kentucky Kingdom, except the lead car of the train would be themed to look like a gator head. Did anyone else attend the luncheon/keynote at IAAPA last week from Fun Spot management who can confirm this?

So maybe it has a name now? Still no announcement although the park has been sending out info on people renewing their season passes. Maybe come Christmas?

That name <//3

It sounds like a great addition to a rapidly expanding park. I'm looking forward to heading back and seeing it (the park).

Hope it's built by September 2015 if it happens.

^ That's the thing, it's the 'Express' bit that cheapens the name. It would have made more sense to have the ride named something snappy and 'sponsored by Gatorland' everywhere else. Horrible branding if that's true ha.

Well, it is going to a place where their other park has a coaster named after a soda.... ROCK STAR coaster // POWER TRIP coaster.... http://rcdb.com/9207.htm

Power Trip (doesn't even seem to exist anymore) - review http://www.bevnet.com/reviews/powertrip
Rockstar - http://www.rockstarenergyshop.com/

Suddenly "express" doesn't seem so bad :p

and based off a press release from over the summer, seems the Gatorland partnership is already in the works.
Finally, the famous Gatorland will open a small exhibit on the grounds of Fun Spot America. Gatorland is a theme park and wildlife preserve located just south of Orlando and is known as the "Alligator Capital of the World
