Roller Coaster TV Programs and Other Related Videos

Afew stupid videos from the guys at Wheres my challenge. ( Yes they kind of click bait it alil but thats how the algorithm works )

I forget the exact name, but on Hulu, I think it is, there is a show about the making of Velocicoaster. Not too in depth, but a good find and it's a nice little thing. More for the GP but I still got a little amusement out of it.

Dunno if this is "Small News" or "TV and News Articles" really (and dunno whether we have even discussed it much on here)

But Blackpool's BIG DIPPER is 100 years old today.

BBC Breakfast this morning;

EDIT : and on the main news site now;

Some more local news stuff;
(some fab old pics on that report - I can never get enough of the pics of it just sitting on the sand)

EDIT : some more old pics (some repeats from above) on this ECC thread;

and the park mini-site (they have some event on today);

This from 2005. How far can you read before you want to tear out your own eyeballs?

The Big One repeatedly quoted for the 235ft height, plus a loop.
Rita as the fastest ride at Alton, before talking about Oblivion.
Nemesis being likened to a pair of testicles.
Nemesis Inferno being referred to as the better of the two.
Thorpe Park is now near Barnes.

Any more triggers I've missed?

That's how i am describing nemesis from now on

Did anyone want a reminder how the primitive mechanisms of rollercoasters work from a Japanese theme park?

This is on Ch5 (UK) right now, I expect it will be awful...

EDIT : oh no, its got UK-thoosies as talking heads (as well as the usual hire-a-talking-head people who have just been shown the video of what they are talking about (eg Rob Bell) )

EDIT2 : yeah a lot of the program is just people talking over/about various viral-videos from the last few years (lot of slingshot rides ;) ) - so not very insightful.

Just put it on for 5 minutes and I'm learning how to bring a dragon coaster (not even a go gator, from the looks) back to the station.

Death by a thousand cuts.

Was literally about a load of nothing.

One Youtuber shocked he went to Bollywood park Dubai and it wasn’t busy.

I managed to watch it this evening.

It’s always fun to see theme parks on TV, but as theme park TV programs go, it was on the weaker end of the spectrum for me. It seemed like it was mostly random celebrities reacting to recent viral videos of theme parks, and I didn’t learn an awful lot from it.

Surprisingly given the program title, it also seemed like half of the “incidents” shown weren’t even incidents. The quiet theme park in Dubai, the theme parks in Nepal and Uzbekistan and the boy bawling his eyes out on Minifigure Speedway, for instance, weren’t even incidents.
