So, this has recently popped up on my Facebook feed

Looks like Wiener Prater is getting a Roller Ball for 2020 season. Nothing official has been said about the new ride by either the manufacturer or whichever showman is building the ride, but I reckon we'll get some official confirmation soon enough.

Might actually go there now, while it probably won’t live up to Wilde Hilde, it could maybe be on the level of Marsupilamis. I hope it’s the 19m variant as they seem much more intense than the larger 28m variant, however RES has never failed to disappoint so I’m sure it’ll be a fantastic addition.

So you're saying they always disappoint?

I take it this will be a permanent ride? Or will it be a travelling model, as Wiener Prater seems to have had a lot of temporary travelling coasters lately?
It's a permanent ride. I'm not exactly sure what the support structure on these is like (in terms of whether they're transportable or not), but this one will be staying in Prater year round.

That doesn't exclude a possibility of a travelling coaster coming to the place as well in 2020, though.

I've got a curious question: Did this RES Rollerball replace anything in the park? Based on its surroundings, I presume that this has replaced a building.

No there was no building before.
It´s actually one of the spots in Prater where mostly smaller kids rides are. They change quite a lot tho but this coaster seems to stay for a bit

With how close it is to the track on the right and with the clearance of the cars, I highly doubt it. If you look at the picture below it shows how large the cars are in relation to the track.

It has to be for a sign or something. Note the distance between the cross ties; it looks like the "track pole" isn't built to the same specifications as the real track, so it's not likely to carry a car or anything like that.

Probably for easier evacuation, the other versions always required the local fire department to help out.
Maybe some evacuation vehicle will go up this track and provide a platform that way.

On Onride.de they are discussing that this is going to be some kind of lift that will carry the ride vehicles to the top of the track. On the now standing version every car has its own motor to get to the top and on this new version with a separate mechanism for that RES is removing some complexity from the ride vehicles.
