So I just found the picture folder with my trip from last year and figured what else did I have that was better to do than write up a TR for CF?

Last year my wife and I had a "Babymoon" where we drove to Niagara Falls and back. Along the way we stopped at a few parks: Waldameer, Martin's Fantasy Island, Canada's Wonderland, Hersheypark, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. We spent anywhere from 1 hour to 2 days in the various parks, and apparently I used a different camera at Martin's as I cant find pics from there. :(

Anyways, after a night at my cousin's in Charlotte we made the 10 is hour drive to Niagara. Along the way we went thru

Much pretty drive than I anticipated. Next up was

and a few hours after that our first park!

We parked here:

And rode stuff like this:

waiting 20 minutes for a spinning coaster :(

but Ravine Flyer II moved into my top 3 for woodies :)

We also caught bits and pieces of a fab show:

I missed the kiddy cred +1 for a re-ride on Ravine Flyer II, overall good hour at the park.

After about an hour or so drive I ran into Martin's for a cred run on their CCI woody and wild mouse. Silver Comet was the surprise of the trip. I have it in or near my top 10 for woodies, an absolutely wild and fantastic ride. Again sorry for the lack of pics :(

We stayed in Niagara for a few days, they have a thing for "fancy" sinks.

Randoms of city and falls coming your way:

Back to theme parks and stuff.

The park was very dead. Every ride was a walkon. It was overcast and cold in the AM but warmed up after lunch. If I had to sum up this park, its 2 great B&M air time machines and then 4 pieces of ****.

Pre staple

Pretty

Worst SLC ever

Good B&M

Again as I review the pics I can tell my wife took them, as there is very few coaster porn pics. Mostly just me beeing an asshat in front of ride signs. To be perfectly honest the rides where **** so I guess im not too sad I didnt get any, or at least cant find them. Watch as I go from happy to **** aggravated and pissed off after getting beat up on ride after ride.

I liked Wonderland but man it was a toll to get thru those creds. We then had the pleasure of getting caught in Toronto traffic on the way back, and being a silly American when I saw the price of gas was like $1.25....a litter.

We left Canada the next day for a real country, and after about a 5 hour drive we ended up in Hershey PA.

After doing the free crap we moseyed on over to the ride park for some coasters. Have some more thumbs up.

Got up the next day and did more of the same. The wrath of God had blown thru the state over night, so the park was dead again the next day.

We gave the zoo a look since it was included in the price of admission. It wasnt great or terrible, just ate up 30 minutes of the day.

I have always fancied myself as a bear.

Merica!

Back to rides, and maybe more animals.

Their legs probably feel like **** right now, but their minds have also been blown so its a fair trade off.

We stopped to watch their sea lion show. I dont remember it at all.

We then stopped to see their campy western show. It was pretty good, the main musical show we saw later was pretty good as well. Some of the entertainers where from Orlando so we chatted them up for a bit.

Hopped on the Monorail and got to see them tearing down the factory.

I ride these at every park that has them.

Hopped on the Ferris Wheel for some more photo ops.

Overall we had a great 2 days in the park. My wife, who usually dislikes any park outside of Orlando, really loved Hershey. My opinion is it has 3 great Intamins in Skyrush, Storm Runner, and Fahrenheit, and OK B&M invert, and OK Anton, then a collection of meh woodies. The entertainment was surprisingly fun and there was plenty to do for everyone. Maybe in a few years if they get another major cred we will stop back by.

We continued south

for our last stop Busch Gardens Williamsburg! We originally planned to spend a day and a half here, but exhaustion from a long road trip was setting in so it ended up being a half day. I worked there in the summer of 10', so the only new thing was Mach and Verbolten. The park was moderately busy as their Food and Wine Festival was going on. I managed to get rides on all of the creds, Mach Tower, and DarKastle.

I think this is closed now. Either way it was crap when I rode it in 10 so we skipped it this time.

Like I mentioned it was their Food festival, so they had extra locations set up including meet n greets with chefs.

Pumped for my first coaster of the day:

Look, stacking.

One of the reasons why BGW is so pretty is how photogenic its rides are. Outside of Apollo everything is easily captured from the main pathways.

We caught part of the new show. I think the overall theme of this area and the rides were borrowed from Evil Dead, minus the part where the vines rape you.

Verbolten had a minor hiccup as I was about to board, caused about a 10 minute delay.

Rode Mach Tower next. Homeboy didnt fit.

Big Bad Wolf redeux

Famous interlocking loops

Dude next to me was high as ****.

Verbolten and Mach are great additions to the park. Verbolten is like Cheetah Hunt but good. Mach is a surprisingly fun drop tower with a picturesque view. Overall it was a solid week+ trip. Hopefully Wonderland can clean up some of the **** they have there and it could be a really special park.

I'll be heading to BGW soon for the first time. Great and informative PTR!
