Muse @ Wembley Stadium

Yesterday I went to Wembley Stadium to see Muse in concert, this is the 6th time I've seen the band over 6 years. Second time at Wembley Stadium as well.

Left Portsmouth just after half 2 and arrived sometime after 4, getting around was easy and was inside the stadium in no time. Wembley Stadium is a huge, especially standing on the pitch, must be very intimidating for players to be in front of a capacity crowd. Met Lewis and his friend shortly after arriving, purchased a nice merch shirt.

I Am Arrows gave a good performance, as did White Lies, was good to see them perform.

Biffy Clyro worked the crowd up well.

Somehow we were near girls near orgasming to Biffy, screaming 'Mon the Biff' a lot.

After a long soundcheck the lights went out and Muse came on stage to some political statement subdued with actors waving flags. Bursting into the title song of The Resistance Uprising.

The set was pretty good, mixing old and new together. We had a better set than the previous night I think, with hits like Citizen Erased and Bliss making an appearance. The little solo's and jams were pretty good, MK Jam was a particular highlight. Overall a very good gig, don't think it tops Earls Court gig in my opinion.

Thanks for posting this Dave. It's great to see what the stage setup looked like. Glad to hear that you guys enjoyed the show. I would have loved to be there too.

I was there too. As it turned out there seems to have been loads of CFers and other people I know from around Bournemouth who went. :lol:

My first major concert and it was amazing, loved every min. I would have loved to have been on the pitch during Muse but didn't fancy standing and being crushed for hours, and one of the people I went with has some back problem so really needed a seat. As it turned out when Muse came out the seated area where we were was pretty lively and jumping around just as much as those on the pitch, except that we probably had a better view and a seat if we wanted it.

Ended up meeting up with Fraser, Kirsten and their other sister, and we got seats near the front to the left side of the stage. I took a few pics and a fair bit of video which may work it's way online later.
