Jubilee Odyssey (Stalls Again)

Island Quest has learned that Jubilee Odyssey, the UK's tallest SLC and the parks main attraction, has stalled.

Details are unknown at the moment, however it appears that the ride has stalled in the same place as previous occasions.

I have contacted the park asking for a wee bit more information. I wondering it's it due to the weather conditions or if its been influenced by somthing the park has done to the trains.

As many og you know, its not the first, and doesn't look to be the last time Odyssey has suffered a rollback.

This thing's always stalling. I know the new management said it would be open more frequently, but they can't help the fact if the weather is crap (which, over there, is more often then not) so surely stlling is going to continue unless they do something drastic like lower that git of a curve.

Are there any actions that could be taken towards the trains to prevent stalling? This would presumambly be a lot cheaper and effecient then retrackin.

Hmm, in true Fantasy Island style, the pictures were not available due to high winds within the fully enclosed wind-tight server room :p

Should be fixed now!

Its been a while since she last stalled, March 2006 was the time I think? And this wasn't anything to do with the weather apparently.

I'm confused as to why they sent the train round with half of it missing?! The covers from the backs of the seats and the wheel covers can all be seen sitting in the station. Also, why only 2 rows of dummies? Surely they should be filling the train with dummies for its first run of the year?
If you had been on her over the last year or so, you would notice a difference, she does now fly through the circuit, they even tested it in the mornings with no dummies.

The park said she had some work done on her and something to do lubrications and new wheels and other sorts of new technologies etc bla bla.

I have always said this- the curve is too high they need to lower it again. The weather in Ingoldmells on the East Coast can be really quite bad which is not good for any coaster of that size. If Jubilee was in a place like Cedar Point it would run a lot better but its not, its plonked over some caravans in a windy sea-side amusement park run by a market. They need to get some money together and lower the curve to the ride doesn't drag when it is windy. And they need to hurry up with the wristband service ;)

^You think moving it from a windy seaside location with unpredictable weather to a windy lakeside location with unpredictable weather would improve the weather problems THAT much...?

Hang on. They sent a ride prone to stalling around with only a couple of water dummies and part of the train missing...?

...What?

^EXACTLY.

Why do that on a ride that has stalled so many times before!

They probably got a bit 'cocky' because of how she had been running last year, but still...

I have always said this- the curve is too high they need to lower it again.

Why are people still saying this? if you look at the pictures you can see that it stalled on the Cobra Roll.

Also, its been mentioned that it could be something to do with the wheels being too tight?

So, does anybody have any updates on what is happening with this, as I was planning on doing Fantasy Island this year.

How long did it take to rectify the last time it stalled? Any ideas if it'll be up and running again by say, August?

Last time it stalled it was closed a couple of weeks after.

But the train is now back in the station and ready to roll.

Should be open this Saturday, the day the wirstbands are introduced!

Apparently it has already been tested and completed the circuit this time, and is ready to open this Saturday.
