Iger Confirmed: Star Wars Expansion At Disney

The Walt Disney Co. plans for “a far greater Star Wars presence” in its theme parks, company chief Bob Iger said Tuesday.

The first look at new attractions based on the sci-fi franchise, beyond Star Tours that currently operates at several of its parks, will be revealed next year, Iger said during a conference call with analysts to discuss Disney’s record third quarter results.

I would have thought they would get started this year so it's ready for the new a Star Wars film, but at the speed Disney work it will probably be ready for the last one lol.

As people have already said it's expected Indy stunt show which is closing this year will be removed at Hollywood Studios and the area will become Star Wars. The cinema is also expected to be removed or converted into a ride building.

Paris it's expected that the cinema where Captain Eo is will be removed or concerted to a ride building and this will become Star Wars as well alone with the Planet food place. Star Tours will also be upgraded to the new version.

Will be interesting to see what they do. Most people are betting on a coaster like the Tron one but using speeder bikes for Orlando.

This partly explains why the Star Tours upgrade has been delayed at Paris.

It was delayed as it needed to be in French plus they used what money they had for a new ride rather than spend it on an old ride. Correct move tbh.
