Hayling Island at night

My brother asked if I could post this for him as he went to Hayling when it was shut with some friends and realised you could still walk round the park so went in with his friends and took some photos.
Just want to say that at no point did they climb any fences, break in or go into locked places etc, but at the same time I don't really condone going to parks at night when they're shut.

Last Monday me and my friends visited Funland over in Hayland Island. Due to the Christmas Special event being held their only the smaller ride were in use during the day time period which explained why some rides such as Super Dragon roller Coaster & Blizzard Falls vehicles were still placed on the tracks. The Helter Skelter door was locked but we found some mats so just climbed up the slide to go down.

Shortly after we took a look at the Red Barron Plane Ride which is situated next to the Helter Skelter.

We then had a quick look at Blizzard Falls which is the smaller of the two log flumes that they have at Funland. As this ride was in use for the Christmas Special event the boats stayed put in the station over night.

Once done looking at the flat rides we headed over to Wild River Log Ride which is the largest of the two log flumes at Funland. This ride was not in use for the Christmas Special so that meant the flumes had already been taken off and the water drained. But we were able to walk up the lift hill and around the platform at the top.

Finally the grand finale! The Klondike Looping Roller Coaster. The main entrance for the ride was locked but the exit wasn't so we walked up to the platform.

Standing on the main platform looking in the same direction as the train would leave the station.

That's SO **** dangerous, especially the limbing to the top of the ride structures. They're really lucky nobody got hurt, ha.

Yeah, I've done soemthing similar to that. Dont ask why but we went to Fantasy Island one January, it was deserted and they just left the rides accessible, so I started to climb Jubilee Odyssey's lift hill, but I thought better of it after getting about 1/3 up.

I understand that is can be dangerous, but when you arrive and you have the chance to do it, you just want to explore as much as you can!

So they left those gates near the car park open?

I can't agree more than that, I think I'd try and do the same, but climbing up the top of a structure in the dark makes my overly safety-conscious brain go into overdrive ha.

Yeah, it's one thing to go into a place which is open at night and have a look around, another to climb structures and go into restricted areas. Very silly really.

When the corkscrews were in the car park at Alton waiting erection, they were accessible so we went in. We put our feet on them and posed for pictures, but didn't go crazy and climb all over them.

There's a line I think.

There were no gates to the park! We didn't break into anything, we didn't jump any fences, rides were left unlocked! We didn't force a way of entry which is why for the roller coaster we walked up the exit path, as the main entrance path was locked. I understand that there was a risk factor, but temptation got the better of us to explore and everyone in the group explored at there free will.

There's no locked gate to bypass to access my back garden, but if there were a bunch of kids in it, they'd still be trespassing and I'd happily call the police.

Your back garden is privet property. There's no gates to the park and no signs saying not to enter, so we wasn't trespassing!

^ Privet property? There are no hedges in my garden. Unless the park is on public land, you "was" trespassing.

Posting pictures of yourself doing so all over a public internet forum is hardly the most intelligent thing to do either.

If we happen to get caught, we couldn't get charge for trespassing or anything along those lines, we could be asked to leave at the most. I appreciate the comments and i take them in to consideration, but my intentions on posting theses photo's were all to see a slightly different side to what you wouldn't usually see or get to do on a day out to this park.
