Alton Towers - Scarefest 2009 - for Children?

Was at Alton yesterday, and it was hard not to notice the posters for this years Scarefest that seem to be around every bloody corner.

The thing is though, it looks like its aimed at kiddies, it was a very colouful picture, with cartoon characters, like a smily happy frankenstien and mummy etc.

Also had some children on it that looked to be about 5 or 6 years old.

Was it like that last year?

^Those are the Scarefest mascots. They've been at the park for the pat couple of years at the event.
They'll still have the other mazes such as Terror of the Towers, Boiler House and Feild of 1000 Screams.

Yes, it was like that, but it also had the "adult" scares too. I did do a trip report on it last year... Two secs:

That's the family side of it. Closer to the time, they pushed the adult things - the mazes and the like.

I think it's pushed early as it's the ONLY special event Alton seem to have this year - missing MR Barnes one suspects.

I think "scares" is a very loose word for the God-awful mazes Alton do
