Not likely. It’s my understanding that great adventure builds their replacement rails in house. As for why they are using RMC track, my best guess is that it costs about as much as prefab rails but steel would require less maintenance.

Came across this on Facebook. Keen readers noticed the text #2007512 on the crate (referencing the rides height, speed and opening year)
Not really a fair comparison imo. Universal is owned by the largest telecom/media company in the US (Comcast). As much as I despise them, we all know that NBC Universal has been doing fantastic at managing projects and throwing tons of money into the parks. The same cannot be said of Hard Rock's...
From what I understand, shedding weight at the corporate level (especially SF managers) was a big reason for this whole endeavor. I agree it’s a huge bummer that staff is getting let go with their families, expenses etc. I’m currently looking for work and it’s never an easy process. Anyway, I’m...
Off topic, but I can’t wait to start to see signs of progress on the record breaking parts of FF like the cliff drop and camelback. Once I see that, I’ll be convinced this ride is for real.
Wildcat’s Revenge: This was essentially my first RMC as the only other one I’ve been on was NTG in 2012 long before becoming an enthusiast. I was absolutely blown away with this coaster! I got two rides yesterday, one in the middle, one in the very back. I was initially concerned about the tight...
The ride opened to pass holders today if anyone somehow wasn’t aware already. I’m stoked to get out to the park and try this beast. I’ll be receiving a free park ticket as part of a promo with the Hershey Bears hockey team. The thing is, they ticket is only good until June 30th. Would it be...
I think the Titan track is placed on some corners and banking because those elements experience more dynamic forces. While the valleys do experience high positive gs, I would be willing to bet these sections are easier to design and maintain because of their location near the ground. Also in my...
I’m no expert in chatGPT, but looking at their post history it sure looks like they are using it. Not sure if using it to comment here is the best use of the technology
So if the coaster’s rough because of a scuffed construction job, then why don’t they just retrack the ride with wood? Why didn’t they just build an RMC in the first place if they don’t want to deal with maintaining a wooden coaster? Very confusing but this was unforeseen at the time. At least...
