Post crack Fury is just as good as before and ArieForce One is great and so re rideable with almost always a walk on/stay in your seat and keep riding it. Rerideability and park operations are what puts it ahead of Steel Vengeance for me, although both are in my top 10.
Or when you are wishing you could get the missed credits at both parks knowing it's a 9 hour round trip flight to LAX and is the only reason you have to return to California.
I currently have 137 credits and out of what has been listed by everyone so far, I have:
1 Fury 325
6 ArieForce One
8 Goliath (SFOG)
9 Steel Vengeance
15 Lightning Rod
19 Gold Striker
20 Maverick
By the end of this year I expect to have over 200 credits with two that I believe will be top ten...
Last Summer I spent a week hitting a lot of the California parks and enjoyed SWSD as well as Belmont Park. Unfortunately Arctic Rescue was down the day I was there so I will need to revisit at some point. If they added yet another coaster that would be a bonus. I will also need to revisit KBF...
I rode almost all of them in the last month so I have a pretty good recent impression. I wish I could have ridden Xcelerator as I think it would probably have been in my top 5.
I didn't find AF1 nearly as bad in the front as the back, can't wait to ride it again.
I agree with you on Hurricane, though it wasn't as bad as I expected.
Go-karts were definitely a blast when I was there. Much better than the garbage at most parks.
I used to work for a trucking/shipping company. When training drivers, they required them to back in first and pull out when leaving. Studies indicated that you are 80% more likely to be involved in an accident when backing out than driving out.
ArieForce One is officially open. Here is a livestream of the opening ceremony. I really wish I could have been there, but unfortunately could not get off work.
If you are ever at Carowinds, PuckerButt Pepper Company is just a short drive away. They are the creators of the Carolina Reaper and Pepper X, the two hottest peppers available. You can purchase many of the hot sauces they make as well as Carolina Reaper pepper plant seeds at their store or...
Last Sunday I managed 22 rides on Fury 325, 8 on Copperhead Strike plus at least 2 rides each on the other open coasters all without Fast Lane pass. Park was only open for 6 hours.
Take this with a grain of salt, but I was there last Sunday and was talking with an area supervisor who claimed the trains were worn out and needed parts that were unavailable and that Vekoma would not work on them.
