Knott’s Berry Farm | MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress | Schwarzkopf Launch Refurb | 2024?

One cannot generally say that a ride lifetime is over after xx years. It depends on many factors. First is wear and tear - a coaster at a small more remote park wil age slower as there are less opening days and less audience - a LA park however as by far the most wear and tear on its rides I...

How do you tell a rides manufacturer?

Most don't put their names on their rides - and even if they do it depends... Gerstlauer and Zamperla mostly have their company name and logo on their restraints - but that could be replaced by the ride or park name and/or logo. Some like Mondial deliver their rides with a plate with their name...

Knott’s Berry Farm | MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress | Schwarzkopf Launch Refurb | 2024?

They could ask Indiana Beach Resorts: They have one lying around at their Niagara park...

Changes coming to Skyrush for 2024?

Not skipping leg-day at the gym really payed off riding this amazing beast in the past. Wonder how the experience will be with the new restraints 😁

Indiana Beach I All American Triple Loop | Quimera (Dreier Looper) relocation | 2024

I prefer the Weber Traumboot to the Huss Ranger as the former has a better headroom for tall guys like me. Already planned this for a "around Chicago" trip next year. They could do a "German Funfair" section... Any update on the former Cascabel - Schwarzkopf Shuttle-Loop - which went to their...

    TITANIUM [X-Dimension Coaster] Now Open!

A great achievement. Honestly except from designing some coasters - mostly track only - I'm nearly out of that game. For me personally the GUI for placing and manipulating the theming is straight-out annoying. But all thumbs up from me for that amazing coaster 👍

    Fantastic old coaster footage/pics

The Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR) - Northern German Broadcasting - aired an episode of its show "Die Schaubude" ("The (Northern German) Showcase") in summer 1983 from Heide-Park. YouTube

    Your 2023 in Review

This year was sadly cut short coasterwise due to a close personal loss. Only had Canada's Wonderland plus the "new since 2016" credits at Prater this year.

Indiana Beach I All American Triple Loop | Quimera (Dreier Looper) relocation | 2024

Fun Fact: Many Schwarzkopf rides in Germany were sold at the time with "American" theming as in name, flags, colors, etc and many of the gp believed that these must be US made rides 🤣

Who would go to Six Flags Quiddiya?

Agreed. And already planning for USA Texas and Georgia next year. Poland hopefully will get on the way to get better if Donald Tusk will lead the next government - but the PIS president is still trying to deflect. Also hope that someday Erdogan will be voted from the center seat in Turkey... I...

Indiana Beach I All American Triple Loop | Quimera (Dreier Looper) relocation | 2024

I've already planned for "Around Chicago" in `25 - but the Triple Loop is itching me 😁

Who would go to Six Flags Quiddiya?

Interestested in seeing who would go Six Flags Quiddiya. I for one don't see it in the near future for personal political reasons - won't dive into those, for not having craft beer with a coaster trip and most possibly the heat.

    IAAPA Expo 2023

I guess there are few coaster and train concepts that don't stand "on the shoulders of giants" as in engineers and companies from way back. I would guess wildly that in modern steel coasters Pinfari, Arrow, Schwarzkopf, Mack and Zierer did most of the pioneering work. From there single engineers...

Indiana Beach I All American Triple Loop | Quimera (Dreier Looper) relocation | 2024

For next year I've planned a trip to do Shockwave and Mindbender - might add Indiana Beach as a detour just to do all three major Schwarzkopf coasters in the States 😁

    Accident at Gröna Lund

Intersting bit of news. Some years ago there was an accident with a refurbished Schwarzkopf Monster were the new welds failed due to the forces - on the other arms hairline cracks in the new welds were detected. Inspecting Monster that were not refurbished it was found that no original parts had...

    Accident at Gröna Lund

An interesting question as Jetline, Twister and Vilda Musen are all intertwined - the last two even sharing parts of the support structure...
