imho POV Onrides are not very good at representing the actual experience the ride delivers in person, they provide an insight into the layout and the surroundings.

Man it's been hard to ignore this thread for the past 5 days in order to not get spoiled. But today, I finally got to ride F.L.Y., and let me tell you, no picture comes close to doing justice to the real thing. You gotta see this with your own eyes. It's heckin amazing.

Reminds me of this concept art someone made a few months ago.

Apart from the fact that imo the terms "Timbuktu" or "Mali" wouldn't evoke the same associations as "Africa", most of the theming elements were manufactured in Cameroon, so I think the area is meant to more generally represent an african-like theme than an exact african country or even city.

I can't recall the Wuze-wall being discussed this intense.

I think the inclined railroad track on top of the launch is supposed to look like one of those bascule briges that fold upwards in order to let a ship pass underneath them. Here, the locomotive has to stop and let F.L.Y. pass through.

Other interesting things I noticed: there seems to be some kind of railroad tracks on top of the first launch. You can even see a locomotive with a wagon on them. However the last piece of track points straight up to the sky, as if the locomotive is gonna jump over it like over a ramp. It says...
