The pre-Wizarding World Duelling Dragons were elite! I was mesmerised by the duelling loops and dragon sculptures on my first IoA visits way back in 2000 and 2005.
I've not updated this in a while, but having just voted in CoasterBot's poll, here is my refreshed Top 20 (new in the last 2 years in bold):
Steel Vengeance, Cedar Point
Taron, Phantasialand
Skyrush, Hersheypark
Taiga, Linnanmaki
Batman Gothan City Escape, Parque Warner
Zadra, Energylandia...
After the ECC Winter Warner to Madrid last weekend and a 10-minute visit to Winter Wonderland for the new cred yesterday, I think my 2024 is complete now!
Coaster count at start of 2024: 958
Coaster count at end of 2024: 1067 (+109)
Parks visited:
Efteling
Mondo Verde
Wiener Prater
Family Park...
Yes! I was there last Friday 18th and had perfect weather luckily. The seatbelts are indeed rather short, was a bit of a squeeze! Did 4 rides on Wild Train and it was certainly a unique coaster! The front row was janky as hell but good fun and airtime at the back.
The park itself was nice too...
Maybe most other parks grossly exaggerate the cost of their new investments? Who knows…
I think this will be a great addition for Isla Magica. I visited in the summer and was really pleasantly surprised by the park. Despite the lack of any recent additions whatsoever, it was well maintained and...
I am going this Friday, have been keeping an eye on the weather and looks fairly safe at the moment!
Just hoping they don’t knock out a Wild Train support with a digger or anything before then 😂
I did a week in the Netherlands about 5 years ago and made the same mistake going during school trips season in June. The school groups there were unbearable for us as well! Toverland was one park that I did love though, so a shame to hear it wasn't so enjoyable for you. Sounds like they need...
Here is the English translation from the end of the Swedish statement;
I guess that was inevitable after the accident last year, it will be sorely missed from the park though! I wonder how this will impact their expansion plans and if they will prioritise a replacement attraction in Jetline's...
After getting home from California last September, I was on 946 creds and had a slightly farfetched plan to make Hyperia my 1000th by the time it opened...
I’ve since ridden far too many Güven runaway trains and other kid creds, had a first trip to Wiener Prater in April to boost the numbers...
I held out until the evening on Friday and managed to get on Hyperia 3 times in just a couple of hours via the single rider line, which no one else seemed to be using by the end of the day! Very relieved to have done it on opening day now…
I'm currently sat at home, due to finish work in 15 minutes, and have been glued to Twitter and Instagram this morning with jealousy at people riding Hyperia... Dreading the thought of a 3-4 hour queue but the temptation to finally ride it is too strong so I will be heading down to Thorpe Park...
Visited yesterday for the first time in a few years:
1. Nemesis Reborn - the back row night ride was amazing and liking the new theme, not so keen on the new queue line though.
2. Wickerman - running much faster than I remembered
3. Smiler - this was probably my #1 at Towers last time, still...
So California in September did happen and gave my B&M count a healthy boost!

71. Batman, SFMM
72. Scream, SFMM
73. Flight Deck, CGA
74. Patriot, CGA
75. Medusa, SFDK

WA has the nickname Wait Awhile for good reason 😅
I was there over Christmas and everything seemed even slower than usual with staff shortages everywhere.
Here is my end of 2022 Top 20, with new additions in bold:
Steel Vengeance, Cedar Point
Taron, Phantasialand
Skyrush, Hersheypark
Zadra, Energylandia
Wildfire, Kolmarden
Fury 325, Carowinds
Phoenix, Knoebels
Ride to Happiness, Plopsaland
Lightning Rod, Dollywood
Expedition GeForce, Holiday...
800 - Hasenhorn Rodelbahn
This thing is ridiculously long! unfortunately they weren’t leaving much of a gap between riders, so had to do a lot of braking to avoid crashing into the guy in front!
The only SRQ I saw at Great America and St Louis in June was on Goliath, and when I tried to use it I was told they weren't using it that day...
Seems like this guy is trying to come up with new ideas on how to improve the experience from his office in Six Flags HQ without any practical thought...
