This thing looks wacky. As far as records, I think it might actually be taller than Valravn. It looks taller than Behemoth in the animation, and it comes relatively close to the height of the swings on Windseeker.
Also never mind the fact that the park already has Steel Force, made by the company that was absorbed into Morgan. A Hyperlite would be downsizing, there's nothing marketable about it.
I'm just saying don't get your hopes up. Dorney Park is one of the least lucrative properties for Cedar Fair...
Out of curiosity, who told you the name was "The Ledge"? I suspected it wouldn't be the name since it was filed in the U.S., but whoever fed you that bull**** must not know how trademarks work.
In that case, I’d bet on it heading to Nickelodeon Universe NJ. No other park in the Northeast has made significant clearing save Great Adventure, but even then, they’re rumored to get a Giant Discovery.
Is it possible that these get loaded into containers at the port they're shipping from? If not, the only real candidate for this in the United States would be Nickelodeon Universe Meadowlands. It's possible that they have a third, unannounced coaster. The track is also Nickelodeon orange.
The track is too thick to be one of their family coasters (Big Dipper), so if it's not headed to Nickelodeon Universe, I would assume it's headed to a port to be loaded up and shipped overseas.
The article itself states:
"The park was granted a height waiver for 315 feet above grade. If this coaster reaches that height and dives into the Rhine River’s ravine, the first drop on this attraction could be truly monumental."
So I really can't see this being anything other than a giga.
We literally have footers poured, supports on site, boxes confirming the manufacture, blueprints, and shipping information explicitly stating that this is a Mack launch coaster. At this point it should be in the Construction forum.
Apparently someone on Reddit found out that the shipping information for this coaster describes it as a “dual-launch coaster”, while the shipping information for Time Traveler was described as “X-TREME COASTER”, so based on that information, this is still likely a standard model.
That seems a bit monotone for what Cedar Fair usually goes for with their coasters. Something similar to F.L.Y. seems more realistic given that they’ve used something similar to that color scheme on recent coasters (Twisted Timbers, Steel Vengeance, etc.)
The Ledge is filed in the United States, they have to file ride/attraction names for Canada's Wonderland in Canada. The last thing Cedar Fair filed was the slogan "It's Amazing In Here" which is what they've been using to market their non-CP parks...
