Summer of 2007 or something - Viper, Darien Lake
Cedar Point Halloweekends 2021 - Rougarou
Cedar Point Halloweekends 2021 - Valravn
Cedar Point Halloweekends 2021 - Maverick
Cedar Point Halloweekends 2021 - Steel Vengeance
That was an interesting trip; my number one changed with every other...
I'm heading to Hershey in August and I was hoping, amid the RMC rumors, to ride Wildcat just so I could get my first before-and-after of an RMC conversion. I've only become an enthusiast within the last year so I've never had that sort of comparison before.
Well, Roar/Joker is only a sample size of one. That's not much to go on.
As for extra space near Wildcat, the coaster looks pretty boxed in. Trees and some possible wiggle-room on the east, a parking lot on the west, very little wiggle-room to the south, and then there's the road to Wildcat's...
Good points. I do wonder what the Santa Clara officials can do since the sale has seemingly gone through, and if they do find a way to keep CGA around, what the park looks like in a post, "Cedar Fair trying to ditch it" world.
I mean, what she wants and what will actually happen won't necessarily align. If the new landowners say "we're bringing x,xxx jobs to the area", I bet the city council will re-zone the land. Prologis isn't going to suddenly get into the theme park business because of Santa Clara.
I see what you mean. Staples's son did an AMA on reddit where he said that IB intends for Niagara Amusement to be serious competition for Darien Lake, and for the park's grand opening to include ">3" roller coasters, but I just don't see that happening.
The Shuttle Loop is neat but the Zyklon...
I'd love a Godzilla themed anything tbh. Especially since it's one of the few franchises whose characters are actually the size of the attractions :P
(Modern Godzilla is about Fury's height, but the Godzilla from 1950's-1970's is half as tall, so... anyone looking to use this theme wouldn't HAVE...
Titan track has been spotted on Predator; more than that, it (so far) only appears to be a partial conversion. Nothing crazy like new inversions, but:
-there's still tons of time to go before opening
-Predator might not open with the park
-Titan Track can apparently be installed super quickly...
I've only ridden Viper (DARIEN LAKE) and Corkscrew (Cedar Point). I love DL Viper, but hate CP Corkscrew.
I'm headed to Canada's Wonderland this May and I'm seriously up-in-the-air on whether or not to be excited for Dragon Fyre.
