Re: RMC. Is it more expensive to convert or build from scrat
^I know from talking to Liseberg officials during the Helix openingt hat the huge cost of the ride was due to the groundwork being more expensive than usual. They said ~50% of the money spent on a coaster project normally covers the...
Re: RMC. Is it more expensive to convert or build from scrat
Yes, I think we're all consentient on this one. A woodie with the iron horse treatment would have the cost of -50% (due to savings in ground works) + additional surveying and strengthening of the existing wood structure. Don't know...
There have been some discussions lately on the forum regarding the "most comfortable" seating position, where a great majority (including me) have promoted the B&M clamshell design or Mack lapbars. Nothing wrong with that. The comfort of these two seating arrangements is unparalleled!

I know that Mechanica at Liseberg is special designed to be able to run in freezing temperatures as well. The only modification needed by Zierer to acomplish this was heated hydraulic restraints (cuz the hydraulics don't work in low temperatures otherwise). I assume Taron will have a similar...

Sorry to be a party pooper; but the track is actually the tentacles of the monster, and the supports are there to pin the beast down.

I'm not a "fan", but I really appreciate their rides! The Schwarzkopf name is generally a guarantee for a smooth ride, their old school layouts also feels "uncalculated" in contradiction to todays modern rides: i.e. they have a lot of unpredictable laterals, spikes of high g's and surpricing...
Looking beautiful! :)
I just regained my hope that this will be a good ride after all :--D The unusual steep first drop might be followed by sharper radius hills, or at least hills taken at higher speed. Keeping my fingers crossed!!
Re: Universal IOA to close Hulk for new enhancements
^^I would assume Matterhorn at Disneyland, or perhaps BTMR or Space Mountain at WDW? :)
Either that or some really old coaster like Rutschebanen at Tivoli Gardens! Tivoli don't got quite the crowds that Disney has, but a popular coaster...
