I couldn’t tell you exact numbers but my most visited park is definitely Thorpe Park and my most ridden cred there is probably…I mean, it’s probably Flying Fish on a technicality given the short queue times and the fact my friends and I rode it about 15 times in a day once when we were...
Updating my ranking here now that I’ve ridden them all as of finally doing Stealth (and re-ridden a couple of others)…
1) Swarm
2) Colossus*
3/4) Stealth and Inferno, tied
5) TWD*
6) Fish
7) Being pushed down the stairs in a trolley
8) SAW
*These are the only two I didn’t get on yesterday...
Late to the party for this ride, but my last new cred was Stealth at Thorpe Park…
I’ve been to Thorpe 5 times now (over the course of over a decade lol) but had never been on Stealth before this trip. I’m autistic so I’m interested in coasters in a very intense, nerdy, researcher sort of way...
I once had a dream wherein a new coaster was installed on Brighton pier and I was sat watching it from the window of a seafront hotel and witnessed one of the trains derailing and flying into the sea, complete with riders. But instead of calling an ambulance I just started reassuring fellow...
Just Cliffhanger at Blackgang chine (RIP). Although technically I wasn’t the only person on the ride, my friend was there as well, but as we were together I feel like that counts. We rode twice at different times of day and both times we were the only people on the ride lol
Only just heard about this! Fond childhood memories of the Cliffhanger and actually went back for a nostalgia trip with friends over the summer - glad I got to ride it one last time then. I’m sort of gutted it’s not being replaced with another coaster (especially as I’m not a big fan of spinning...
The biggest flaw for me personally is that I’ve been to Thorpe about three times since it opened and I’ve still never been on the bloody thing (and not for lack of trying, when it first opened I thought it sounded sick). It’s always either closed/not working, has an 8000 hour queue or both. The...
Since I assume my next park will be Thorpe (it’s closest to me & I have friends who want to go soon), Stealth. It’s the only cred there I don’t have. It’s never spited me or anything, I’m just very scared of heights, but I’m determined to woman up lol
Thorpe Park is my closest (major) park and the one I'm most likely to be able to persuade friends to tag along to, so most likely that. Might try and get to Alton Towers or BPB at some point as well, maybe in 2021.
I would have been going to Nagashima Spa Land and Universal Studios Japan if my...
I feel like I’m going to be roasted for this, but I can’t think of many rides I’ve laughed more on with friends than Reverchon spinning mice. They’re obviously not /good/ rides, they’re just so wildly uncomfortable and tacky and fun.
I’d really LIKE to see an RMC at Thorpe, partly for selfish reasons (it’s my closest major park) but also because they’re overdue a new development and there’s so much space going to waste there, especially now Logger’s Leap is no more. I still don’t think it’s terribly likely that we’ll get one...
Gained 4 creds at Winter Wonderland today! First time I’ve been able to post on this thread since joining. In order of riding:
Euro Coaster or whatever it’s called at the moment
It was pretty sub-par really - didn’t do much, wasn’t smooth or even nice to look at - but we rode it first because...
Just Space Invader 2 at BPB (as far as I know, anyway). Didn’t know anyone had died on it at the time of riding, I was about 7 years old. I always imagine I’d feel weird knowingly getting on a ride that had been someone’s last (not that it would put me off or that I’d be concerned for my safety...
The only coaster I’ve ridden that I genuinely disliked to the point where I’d never ride it again was probably Turbo (the Pinfari looper on Brighton Pier). I don’t usually mind rough rides (Colossus is genuinely my favourite ride at Thorpe) but that was beyond horrific and nowhere near exciting...
Daddylonglegs are my absolute worst. I‘m terrified of the things. Don’t really like spiders either although I can tolerate small ones.
In terms of stuff that affects my coaster experiences - not keen on heights either, still haven’t braved anything over 200ft (although I’m going to Nagashima...
