I was at SFA last week on a work trip so spoke to all the management etc, they said Mind Eraser will not be reopening (it came up organically as we were walking round, i didn't really know anything about the park prior).
Superman was brilliant though and the crazy laying down Batwing was pretty...
How many visitors are there on a busy day, must be over 10,000? Peak opening hours are typically 10-6pm so you're looking at a maximum of 3200 if it's running non-stop. Obviously plenty of people won't want to ride but you're looking at 30% getting one go (plus any savvy multi-accounts), seems...
Transformers is technically a collaboration between a Japanese and US toy company in the 1980s. Not sure about the modern films but the figures are still popular there. I'd be surprised if they weren't considering the general affection for all things mech.
All the reports from today said the virtual queue worked well and people were allowed unlimited rides as the park was quiet.
Guess that's still not a reflection on how it will be for most people...
Also side note where is this thread located now it's no longer "construction"?
Taking my family to Alton Towers for the first time next month, they don't know any of the rides so very excited for this (i've not been on it either but know what it is).
Get to do this a lot with my son which is fun. The best ones are the Dark rides where he has absolutely no idea what to...
Ha yeah i was thinking the same after i posted that, very much getting what you pay for i suppose. Paulton's even have an advance calendar for the whole year of when rides won't be available due to maintenance!

I hate complaining about things...
Went to Chessington yesterday and we had a good time but the ride availability is shambolic compared to somewhere like Paultons. At one point there were 9 rides closed (with Dragon's Fury and Rattlesnake alternating between closed and 90 min queues all day). That's on a sunny bank holiday...
Interesting. This is basically the same system that already exists for SkyLion at Legoland for RAP users being applied to ALL users. From experience i've known on busy days to basically spend the entire trip on my phone as slots get released every 20 minutes and instantly taken. Last time i was...
I remember a lot of parks used to have signs with things like "queue time 30 minutes from this point" (Chessington still has it at the Vampire Disabled Access entrance, much to the dismay of all present) which seems like an easy to implement system that ride staff can update at a glance.
Which parks have the most accurate queue time displays? I just saw a Vlog from Hansa Park in Germany where it says they have queue times accurate to the minute (eg. 17 minute wait)!
Merlin ones seem pretty ropey and usually quite behind what is actually happening.
Agree with this. Outside of story based dark rides i think all that matters is how a roller coaster looks and how it rides. 99% of people aren't delving anywhere beyond that.
The new track looks very striking and unique (i've certainly never seen another rollercoaster with a track like this), i...
I think it looks great so far. I wonder if it's going to cover the entire track or just certain sections? Will be more effective if it's the latter imo but think it will be impressive either way.
That does sound off-putting with a young disabled child in tow (melting into a puddle). Is the entire park air conditioned?
I guess we'll have to plan for peak season.
