I would reluctantly ly forgive Merlin if they actually opened Alton Towers late enough to actually see the lighting packages on these rides at night 😂 is there anything more bleak than a fairground flat in the cold light of day?
River Quest is definitely an unexpected soaker if you’re an unaware first time rider.
And although I kind of expect a soaking from most Shoot the Chute rides, the one at Parque Warner in Madrid is definitely one of the wettest I’ve been on.
Not quite a rapids ride but I think it holds the same sentiment as mentioned above - Tutuki Splash at PortAventura.
From the abandoned effects to the notorious chewing gum tunnel; the ride is a wonder.
Not to mention it’s setting in Polynesia which is one of my fave theme park areas.
I hope some of the bigger parks across the pond take some much needed inspiration from this.
IoA would benefit from an area themed to Stoke, chock full of world class dodgems, chairswings and boosters. IMAscore can be replaced with Ministry of Sound clubland classics 2004.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is my home park.
I've heard a lot of suggestions in recent years as to what could be done there, so I thought I'd take a slightly different approach.
Let's just save time and agree that Grand National is now way past it's best, however I wouldn't be using GCI to...
Chiapas is good but it's vastly overrated in my opinion. I don't like the boats at all, and the layout doesn't inspire me all that much.
It's still somewhere 'up there' due to the fab theming, soundtrack and final drop, but for my money I'd take Silver River Flume at Port Aventura and Menhir...
Epic report, now just imagine if Brean Leisure Park had an RMC and an Intamin Hyper. That'd certainly change things.
Also, spotted a few 'additional' items beside that Lech beer, in typical Howie fashion ;)
Glad you had a good time though mate, certainly convinced me I need to get to Poland...
As a few have already pointed out, Energylandia is probably one of the better estimations just based on the sheer number of large investments they have made over the last 5 years.
Josh - There is an argument that a good relationship with Vekoma could place B&M out of the picture but then if...
Been doing something similar with films with a couple of friends and thought a theme park version would be fun!
So, here's 3 coaster anagrams; all European coasters. Can you name all 3? ?
1. SAFER IN JAW
2. TOSS EXPOSER
3. DRUDGERY UNSPOKEN
Bonus points if you know what links all 3!
Long distance running was for a long time my main hobby as I used to do it competitively. Just recently trying to get back into it after years of smoking and eating crap.
Filmmaking and photography are also two of my main hobbies; the latter I studied but have since been a bit inactive with...
That wouldn't give the effect of faster motion. It's not a big deal that they've chosen to speed it up but since quite a few people are impressed with how fast the thing looks on it's test runs, it's worth pointing out that the clips themselves have been slightly ramped up, probably for added...
It's not hugely sped up to the point where it's incredibly noticeable, but there are a few tells. The bird is one, some of the micro movements in the camera also give it away. Sound wouldn't be that noticeable when sped up only slightly, and the music helps hide it. I can't comment on any other...
BPB and Flamingoland do get a fair amount of Scottish visitors being up north. Used to be the same at Frontierland, Pleasureland and Camelot before they closed. I’ve been to M&D’s a few times and it never seemed very busy. Perhaps many Scottish locals prefer to wait and visit more significant...
