Unpopular opinion; I actually think I prefer the look of the grey and black colour scheme to the red and yellow one, so I think it'll look quite snazzy once it's fully complete!

Out of interest, when are we thinking Flamingo Land will announce a name for this ride?

^I'm not sure they ever left.

In other news, the train has arrived. Unfortunately and unsurprisingly, there only seems to be one:-

Edit - Image removed as owner stated in post not to use image elsewhere.

Wonder if it will be repainted. Nice to see the pull-down lapbars though.

I really dont appreciate you reposting my images from facebook when i clearly stated nobody to post them outside the group.

They painted a very small section of track, that could have been damaged, corroded, or new.
All good fun, let's wait and see.
Can't see them spending all that money on paintwork.
They are famously tight.

Except it's not, is it? It's been in bits on the ground for months (years!) now already.
I beg to differ! , it doesn't matter if it's been sat in field for several years or been in use for several years, the point is the paint will fade no matter what. It's far cheaper to pay for point to point shipping than it would be to have it shipped to a paint shop and then re shipped to the site.

But presumably the current painting contractor/specialist on site would have charged less to paint it while it was sitting in Flamingoland's field? All that 'working at height' stuff is dangerous (read: expensive).

Maybe that's why this thing cost £22m - they did it all the hard way. ;)
