That unbanked turn really does look like something from a coaster game, where you're stubborn and want the track to go into a particular place, and you'll do anything to make it happen.

1 train = 12 riders.
2 x trains = 24 riders.
Riders per carriage = 12r/6c = 2
1 train would have a layout like:
