In the latest construction update in the efteling blog (from March 12) they state "najaar van 2024" which translates to fall 2024.
Actually, I was there yesterday and while I got these absolutely stunning views of the fassade and details (those posted above) it also revealed that there is...
Dynamite is reasonably smooth also on the outer seats, so I'm quite optimistic they have already solved the problem (and probably further improved it).
Absolutely, and I'm sure these ideas must have been on the table. However, I guess CP wanted to minimize the risks and just let Zamperla do the bare minimum in changing the actual layout. Actually, could be a wise dicision from a reliablility point of view but definetly a bummer when it comes to...
Think I'm in the same boat here, but Efteling has surprised me in the past, so who knows. But what I can tell is that the two smaller buildings (cafe and restrooms) that have already been finished really look great. (I've been there about three weeks ago.)

There is no doubt that the drop down that spike will be epic and I even don't think that an extra 40ft or so will make that much of a difference for the ride experience. I'm just talking about the marketing point of view.
From a marketing perspective, going for a 420 ft spike just makes as little sense to me as spoiling those news one day before the big announcement. So either this is an odd choice for getting some extra publicity (and they will actually announce to crack the 456 ft tomorrow) or it's... well just...
