But you love Viking... You insist on marathoning it every time we go!!!! Can only put that down to the OTSRs.
Meaning to message you btw, will do that now...
Good point… 😂😂😂
I don’t know what it is then, but I do agree with Graeme that there are some types of manoeuvre that are more comfortable with OTSR, but it isn’t hang time, and clearly not ‘all’ laterals… 🙈😂
Not so much 'fall in' but I think I get, and agree with, your point. But only if we're talking about too many lateral forces, rather than 'falling into' the restraint. Falling in is fine with a lap restraint, as evidenced by many slow Mack inversions, and for me, and I imagine other tall folk...
I think you guys are right to focus your worries on the choice of restraint more than anything else.
'OTSR Eurofighter' and 'Lap Bar Eurofighter' are two very, very, very different prospects, particularly here in the UK, where no lap bar Eurofighters (or infinities) have ever been built...
That's right, the main one at least, which gained national coverage, was 2016 I think. But there were others, including earlier ones (although thinking back, that first one may not have been online.)
Then last year, some of the major newspapers published stories on how the park had been left...
Anubis at Plopsa? That's massive, (4,000 m2) and properly intense. One of the most back punching launches I've done. I quite like Anubis actually, for a gerst, don't shoot me.
Did you see this...
Yeh Lech is quite intense. Formula would have been perfect, and is tiny too. It's (mostly) low to the ground layout also makes it seem less scary to any youngsters nervous of height.
Would it have drawn criticism for being another Vekoma though? It would have left 6 out of 8 coasters being...
In most cases, the ride has been designed to factor in guests with their limbs extended out beyond the ride vehicle. BUT... NOT in ALL cases. Some very old historic coasters may not have been designed to factor this in, so be careful on older rides, use your common sense.
I think a new gen vekoma was the main one that popped into my head when I asked the question. Looking at Lech, and it's 'rumoured' price tag, something like that would possibly have been the very best option.
Maybe (with an eye on the reputation EL has earned) they decided that 2 modern vekomas...
They'd take a vertical lift over riding alone... They won't have any clue how weird that vertical lift is until they've done it... They'll know immediately that they don't want to sit alone.
So we think that a Eurofighter might be too scary... But a single rail coaster, in which kids would be expected to sit alone, would have been fine.
Not a chance... No way my kids would have sat alone on an "upside down" coaster until their mid to older teens... By that point, they could and...
The 4th Eurofighter to be installed in the UK, with OTSRs... Not exactly inspiring. It's not going to drive repeat visits from people up and down the country, I probably wouldn't bother especially for the coaster, I'd wait for a live, or until I'm already in the area.
But it's not for 'us' is...
That looks fantastic. Much better than I expected it to look, and significantly better than Europa's version. I really love the mix of physical set pieces and screens, and including where they've included animatronics and physical set pieces inside some of the small screen scenes. The scene with...
