    Nitefly’s Neapolitan Adventures (Chapters 1+2)

Great report as usual @Nitefly! Glad to hear Rookburgh blew you away, and that you had a nice time at Phantasialand! With regard to FLY; sorry to hear you were a bit underwhelmed. Given your seemingly very high opinion of the notoriously intense Lech Coaster (your #3 according to your recent...

    Top 10(ish): 2021 Edition - page 102

Another question @Serena; did you not go to Plopsaland to do Ride to Happiness? Or did RTH simply not do it for you? Also, how come Kondaa didn’t make the top 20? Sorry to ask so many questions; I only just had a proper look at your post, and was merely interested to hear your opinions!

Roller Coaster TV Programs and News Articles!

Congratulations to him! I thought Mark “Megafobia” Lewis had the highest Megafobia ride count, though?

    Top 10(ish): 2021 Edition - page 102

I’ve got to say @Serena, the fact that 2 of Europa’s big 3 appears in your top 20 among your rather high coaster count makes me very excited for my visit next year! I was excited for Europa’s coasters anyway given that Europa’s big 3 exactly parallels my present top 3 (Mako, Icon, Wicker Man) in...

    Thorpe Park 2024?

I’d personally guess that Thorpe will get something before Alton. They”ve gone longer without a major investment (2016 for Thorpe compared to 2018 for Alton), and there are no current rumours of anything in the works at Alton, whereas there are starting to be rumours about Thorpe.

    Thorpe Park 2024?

I guess we don’t really know; the common rumour I’ve heard is 2024, and that would make sense given that Chessie is getting 2023, but nothing is confirmed, I suppose. If it were to be 2024, it’s either going to be a pretty huge project if planning goes in early next year, or the current...

    WTF Merlin?

Nothing is currently known, sorry, but if it’s anything to go by, the park has stopped selling Smiler Fastracks for the rest of the season.

    WTF Merlin?

The incident was that a train was supposedly starting to go up the lift hill, but then disengaged at the bottom and rolled back towards the station, lightly bumping the train behind it.

Why have travelling coasters progressed so little, and will we ever see large-scale, custom travelling coasters built again?

Hi guys. The recent news of Mellors seemingly having purchased a travelling Sky Rocket II for Riyadh Winter Wonderland in Saudi Arabia recently got me thinking about travelling coasters. And it got me thinking; the world of travelling coasters is arguably somewhat stuck in the past compared to...

    Ride Related Dreams You've Had

Sorry to bump this thread, but I had another pretty weird, and slightly morbid, theme park-related dream last night… Basically, it concerns Duel at Alton Towers. For starters, the ride was in Dark Forest instead of Gloomy Wood, but that’s not the important bit. In this dream, an elderly woman...

    Thorpe Park 2024?

I think the great thing about a B&M hyper would be that even if it were the UK’s tallest coaster, each of Thorpe’s existing thrill coasters still has something to stand out beside it: Colossus: 10 inversions Nemesis Inferno: Inverted seating position Stealth: Fast launch (0-80mph in 1.8...

The Rig - A roller coaster on an offshore oil rig?

If built, it looks like it could be cool, and very unique! But I must ask; what did they design that rendering in? It definitely doesn’t look like NL2 or Planet Coaster; could it be RollerCoaster Tycoon World?

Coasters you really like that aren’t particularly intense

Hi guys. Many enthusiasts often rate coasters highly based on them being intense rides; from what I can gather, many of the world’s most commonly highly rated coasters are very intense rides that put you through your paces and barely leave you with a second to breathe. But what about those...

Belgium 2021; which of the new coasters do you prefer?

Hi guys. This year, Belgian parks opened 2 major new roller coasters, both of which were hotly anticipated; Kondaa at Walibi Belgium, an Intamin mega coaster, and Ride to Happiness at Plopsaland de Panne, a Mack XTREME Spinning Coaster. Both of these had huge hype surrounding them, and a fair...
