From what I heard almost every component of the Big Dipper has been revisited and improved for this model. Either they want to differentiate, but I suspect that this replaces the Big Dipper model.

Lost Gravity actually manages that quite some times. Each staff only has to check 4 restraints, I think that during Halloween they even have 4 staff in the station so each one only checks 2 restraints. Look at how EP runs Silver Star, 36 secs for this should be easy peasy.

Because you need a lot of blocks then. Hagrid's has 8 of them. If you want a similar capacity (1600) on a similar track length (1500m), with a capacity half of it you need approx double the blocks. If we are staying with the current big dipper trains I see two tracks of 800m (dueling or mobius)...

A big dipper car sits 8, chain two of them together (similar to how Maurer did it with Rip Ride Rockit) and you get two additional seats more than Hagrid's his trains. As long as you make the distance between the two trains big enough you can still make the tight curves and drops.

It doesn’t have to be a dueling coaster, Hagrids matches those stats aswell. Similar length and capacity, but that is assuming they will make a long big dipper train.

If they really want that throughput they have to work with bigger trains. Maybe they are going to do a hagrids with multiple launches and make it a family coaster. Would make sense looking at the stats. Maybe even make a family wing launch coaster? Afik MACK doesn’t have a version of a...

I am actually kind off surprised Universal would go for another launch coaster after Hagrids and Velocicoaster. Especially the latter. Oh and isn't the How to train your dragon supposed to be a launch coaster aswell?
