Universal Orlando | Volcano Bay | Water Park

I agree without any hesitation. Them and Disney are always doing things that are just so off the charts, that it's almost a sin to just call them theme parks. They're their own category.

Worst coasters to ride immediately after eating

For me, the Batman clones would probably do the job. As a matter in fact, anything compact or with a lot of inversions wouldn't be a wise choice for me after eating. Also, rides that are repetitive with just hills (ex. B&M hypers) aren't my first pick after eating either. My day would be shot...

Universal Orlando | Volcano Bay | Water Park

Did anyone take note of the Ko'okiri Body Plunge slide. Universal hasn't really announced this, but it's pretty clear that this will be the tallest water slide in the United States. Maybe I'm crazy, but after Verruckt permanently closed, there aren't any slides that are taller. Universal states...

    What Makes a Coaster Good?

The element of surprise is definitely a huge thing for me as well. Being caught off guard with smaller elements that still get you when you least expect it. I also agree with you on the whole sensations being stronger then expected thing. I love when the element that I overlook the most or hype...

    What Makes a Coaster Good?

What a tough question, but what a good question. I'm so glad you started this thread. What is it that makes a coaster enthusiast crave more? All of the responses so far are excellent. The way I look at it, is that if a ride is good, it's good. Simple as that. So yes, Howie has a very valid...

What's the best coaster you've seen and/or ridden?

Best ridden would be Skyrush and El Toro. Can't deside on a #1 overall, so I'm giving my #1 steel and #1 wood. These are just some of my dozens of most sought out not-ridden coasters in no particular order: - Taron - Schwur Des Karnan - Everything at Cedar Point (Yes, I Haven't Been to Cedar...

What park do you think has the best theming/decoration?

I 100% agree with you on Disney and Universal being in a league of their own. With that being said, for me, out of all the parks I've been to, Busch Gardens Williamsburg takes the cake. That is why I have BGW as my favorite park. I would put all the Disney and Universal Parks as my favorite, but...

What was your first coaster to feature an inversion?

Dude, I envy you. Dragon Khan as your first coaster with inversions, that's a blessing.

What was your first coaster to feature an inversion?

This is embarrassing. That Vekoma Corkscrew at La Ronde. I think it's called Super Manege or something like that. Wish it could've been something else.

    Your Boomerang/SLC Count.

Never quite established an actual number for this one, but thankfully I haven't broke 10 yet.

    Most intense coaster

As of right now, Skyrush, Toro, and I305 are my most intense coasters. Always open to change though. Skyrush and Toro are just relentless when it comes to negative g's. Airtime up the wazoo. I305 is just tear you lungs out crazy. Speed, turns, and more speed. Can't go wrong with a low to the...

    Rides That Really Surprised You

I was really taken back in surprise with Houdini's Great Escape at Six Flags Great Adventure. I have been to Gadv over 20 times throughout the course of my lifetime, and never rode it. Finally, this past year between Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park, I rode it. Fantastic. Nothing short. For...

To be quite honest, I didn't think that many people would agree with me about Mission Space. Ever since Disney had to deal with all of the health issues it caused back in it's earlier years, I thought it lost a lot of it's popularity and became a very under-rated ride. Ever since then, I feel...

    Favorite Simulator

Disney already made a tamer version of Mission Space. It's called the Green Team. It's the same exact ride in terms of the actual ride vehicle, movie, and interactive aspects. The only difference is that the centrifuge remains idle, so there is no spinning. Thus, there are no positive g forces...

Agreed. Not to mention how the screens and controls come forward and really encase you. You feel like your doing the real thing. Like we both agree, if you can get past the tight spaces and handle the gs, it's fantastic.
