After getting spited out of our first ride on opening day, we made our way back to give it another go and further justify our merlin passes! We were successful in getting on the new-ish ride, though I can't say we felt we got an experience worthy of the renewal.... ...aaanyway, going through...

Oh, those look lovely. It fits well with the "modernised steampunk" style that they seem to be going for.

The amount of parking is just insane. America's car laws are such an influential oddity.

Does anyone happen to know who's working on the project (eg: a UK Universal Creative branch)? Just in case their design team might looking for underqualified engineers at the moment 😅.

Personally, I think it's a great idea. They're not trying to market themselves as for thrillseekers, and it appears much more fitting for a family-oriented lineup. If the cars are comfortable, then the softer theme and shutter ride type would make it an amazing step up coaster to lead towards AT.

Thorpe Park is back open! Unfortunately the rides didn't quite seem to be ready to start a new season as our day was mostly spent navigating around breakdowns. Please enjoy my thoughts, along with the mediocre pics of Hyperia from around the park! Storm surge - 6/10 It's a fun filler ride...

It's in the pull-up after the Zero-G roll. So it's one of the more forceful spots on the ride at least.

Has Inferno had a support fracture? Today was a bit of an operations disaster. Aside from some hail that (naturally) closed all of the rides for 40 mins, I'm not sure there was a single point where all 6 coasters were open at once, at one point we were down to having just 2 open with constant...

Using (presumably) old track as extra tentacles coming out of the ground was a great addition as well.

Even though I sadly missed the chance to ride it (which I will quietly remain forever salty about). I would agree with everyone that the theming work they've done is fantastic. The atmosphere around the ride area was unmatched by anything in the park, the station is so much more convincingly...

Sooo... who else was kicked out of the queue line at the end of the day? Maybe I'll get to ride it next time. 🙁

Has FF halted construction? The camelback seems to have had little change for the past month or two.
