February 26, 2021 – With California theme parks still shuttered due to the coronavirus pandemic, Six Flags Magic Mountain began running the Cruis’n the Park Car Show on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through March 14th. The world’s first drive-thru auto show featuring 100 muscle cars, hot rods and low riders from West Coast Customs offers car enthusiasts and theme park fans a chance to drive through Magic Mountain to see custom cars, trucks, motorcycles and watercraft from the comfort and safety of their own car.
The 30-minute Cruis’n the Park Car Show will be narrated by West Coast Customs CEO Ryan Friedlinghaus (available via a free mobile app download) with additional themed music and entertainment. The limited-time event will take visitors on a route through the 125-acre park and past dozens of vehicles from West Coast Customs, a Burbank auto customizing shop featured in the reality television show “Pimp My Ride.” Magic Mountain teamed up with the auto customizer on the West Coast Racers roller coaster that debuted in late 2019.
Advance reservations are required for Cruis’n the Park through the park website and capacity will be limited. Admission prices are $79.99 on Fridays or Sundays and $89.99 on Saturdays per vehicle, but discounts will be available for active members and season passholders.
In the interest of COVID-19 health and safety, passengers will not be permitted to exit their vehicles and masks will be required if they roll down their windows.
Cars, SUVs, vans and pickup trucks are permitted. No convertibles, buses, RVs, commercial vehicles, 6-wheel pickups, trailers or motorcycles are allowed. A 3 mph speed limit will be enforced. Portable toilets will be available at the entrance and exit.
