New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
The New Orleans Industrial Development Board received three offers to purchase the former Six Flags site that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
TPC-NOLA Inc. proposed a $3.26M bid, including plans for a “Jazzland” theme park and water park valued at $50M, while Frank Scurlock made a $4.55M cash bid that will include a “Festival Theme Park” valued at $120M. The third proposal came from Henry Klein of 30/90 Management, who made an offer of $5.55 million, but what the company plans to do with the 227-acre (918,636 sqm) property is unclear.
Board members will appoint a committee to review the offers and make guidelines for purchase of the property, which will be presented at its March meeting. Click the headline for more information
